Stayed in room 14. It’s an older hotel located 1 block from the Malecon. The rooms aren’t fancy but how much time will you spend in your room. Beds and pillows confortable. Large bathroom with shelves/closet at one end (I loved this part) and the bathroom part at the other. Water pressure was good and had plenty of hot water. Room cleaned/straightened and fresh towels every day. I agree with others who posted about breakfast. Cereal, bread, cookies and coffee. Great for an 8 year old. Maybe a piece of fruit, couple of yogurts or donuts from around the corner. Parking was no issue. Security every night and 2 on the weekend. Ice available from security. Our A/C was quiet and worked really well. A mini fridge would be awesome in the room but there isn’t one. There is a coffee pot. Noise not an issue either. There is a restaurant on premises but it is run separately from hotel and open evenings (Wens-Sat during slow season). Food is good and service was great. This is San Felipe. If you want high end go a different route but if you are looking for a base where you can sleep, shower and leave your stuff Langosta Roja is perfect.

The owner/Manager was Extremely Helpful to me. I came rolling after a LONG day of driving from Puerto Penasco. I asked for a Room downstairs for myself and explained about my Service Dog. He said No problem. Showed me to my room. I had red some of the reviews. My room was a Beautiful Room 109 I Think. Large room with a Large TV which I don't watch but if I did it would have been Perfect. The beds were Nice. I only used one. People talked about how uncomfortable the beds are. Not anymore. My room was Perfect. The bathroom was Nice. Great HOT Shower. I was Truly Surprised By it all. He knew I was tired and said to get a few hours of sleep and come to the Restaurant for dinner. I did just that. Their Food was Wonderful. I really like the Fact that it has Night security and anyone can't just drive in. Thank you for the wonderful Nights Rest and the Amazing Meal. SV ♥️☮️🌍🏴‍☠️

The hotel was our first attempt to find a room for the night with our kids and dogs and, to our delight, they had availability. We were in the 2nd floor. The room was clean, beds were comfortable and the little closet area was perfect to put our toddler in with his pack-and-play bed. It’s a simple mom-and-pop style hotel, very cute. They charge $10USD per dog, but with 3 dogs in tow, that’s still cheaper than most hotels in USA, so we aren’t complaining! The security for the parking lot was a huge bonus since we hauled a utility trailer. Easy walk to the Malecón, restaurants and shops. I agree with others, the noise levels outside can be high at times, especially yipping/barking dogs, but that simply can’t be helped. We would definitely stay here again!

The Langosta is THE hotel that we stay at, for the San Felipe shrimp festival. It's apparently been a tradition, for a couple of decades, for my fiance and his best friends, and I've been lucky enough to stay there for the festival last year. We're going to stay there again, this time with my sons in tow, for this year's fest. The rooms are spotlessly clean, well-cared for, and right where you wanna be, walking distance to the malecon (the downtown waterfront district, lined with restaurants and stalls right off of the beach, where all the action is!) Is it a five star hotel? Heck no! But, it's clean, comfortable, and safe, and the staff really go out of their way to make you happy. The showers are improved by taking the shower head off...but this place is very authentic, and very comfortable for those of us who are just folks, and not into the fancy stuff. I recommend them highly, if you're headed to the...
