This is a long review, so if you want a basic review not this one. ||From the moment I booked my experience with them had started out really great. Annette got in contact with me asking if there was any kind of accommodations that I might need. The trip was originally supposed to be just an anniversary trip, but I decided to make it a proposal trip as well. I contacted Annette back and told her I wanted to do something special maybe some flowers or if they had any contact that could decorate the room a bit for me and she instantly got me in contact with a lady who is a florist/ event coordinator. She also got me on contact with the chef from their restaurant. The florist lady and myself came up sub an idea and executed it, the chef asked if I wanted anything special, but their menu looked really bomb already so let him know it was fine. ||Fast forward to the day of my trip Annette calls me and asks if I need anything for the decoration but everything was already planned. ||Upon getting to the hotel it had a really nice sign outside with some rustic copper gates, and an extremely nice security, an older man named Mario, very warm person, always greeting us when we got back from going out and told us to be careful and drive safe when heading out to do something. We got to reception, finally met Annette in person and just as in the emails she was very attentive to detail and very accommodating and just a very sweet and nice person overall. You can instantly see why she's in charge of setting up the guests, she has the thing for it. ||After checking in, they take you on golf carts to your room from reception, and it was pretty cool that they did that, you can call reception at any time day and night to get a ride to your car if you want to go do something. ||We got to our room and, IT DID NOT disappoint at all whatsoever!!! The balcony had a swing chair, a table that fit 4 and 2 lounge chairs, plus a kitchen style trash can which was nice to have. Inside the room really stood out from any other hotel I have ever stayed at. Each room is styled after different states in Mexico, and we stayed st the Sinaloa room. ||The room had a chimney, TV, a small couch and coffee table, a big king size bed, and a little bar area that also had a his and hers long sink. The toilet was separate from the shower and the shower was long had a floor to ceiling window that felt like a frosted Dutch door because the top opened to let the hot water steam escape. In the toilet room the door had a full sized mirror. The shower had sauna like wood tiles and pebbles on the other side, with a shower head that came from the ceiling. ||It had huge sliding glass doors up front that all opened up completely and the back one lead to the hot tub in the background which had water jets. ||The restaurant was right across from us and the food there was so good! And they offered your first drink free and free breakfast. We had an amazing time and everyone was extremely friendly, from reception to everyone at the restaurant and the security at the gate. We will definitely come back and make this our new home when we come to Valle...

Read moreLet me start by saying that the location of this hotel is very central, the rooms are nice, and the grounds are beautiful, but for the price we paid there were just too many problems.
Upon arrival there was no official check in process, so we never knew where reception was, the best way to contact staff, etc... The man at the entry gate showed us to our room and gave us some instructions in Spanish, which we only understood a little of. I do not expect hotel staff to speak English, but I would at least expect that they leave an instructions sheet in English & Spanish in each room.
On our first night, their sweet dog Totopo that stays on the grounds barked right outside of our room from midnight until 3am. It felt as if he was protecting us from something. While I love dogs, this completely ruined our first night of sleep after a 12 hour day of travel. When I asked for a refund for our first night, they said this was against their policy. When I asked if they could organize complimentary transportation, they said they could not accommodate this. Ultimately they offered us a free breakfast, which we appreciated, but did not feel like it made up for the anxiety and lack up sleep.
One of the things we really liked about the room when booking was the private jacuzzi. Unfortunately the heat was not turned on prior to our arrival and it did not get warm enough to comfortably use during our stay. On top of that, they asked if they could clean it during the day on Saturday, which we agreed to since we weren’t planning to use it during the day, but they ended up emptying it and it took most of the day to get it cleaned & filled again, so obviously it was not ready to use on Saturday evening either. I would suggest they make sure it is clean and heat turned on prior to guests arrival.
On our first morning, we went to eat the yogurt & cereal we had brought for breakfast, but found there was no bowls or silverware. Not a huge deal since we were able to grab some from the restaurant, but just not what I would have expected considering there’s a kitchenette.
On our second night, after returning from dinner, there were dozens of dead bugs all over the floor (mainly these little flies with big wings, but some other types as well). It was so odd we could not figure out why that would have happened all of a sudden. We asked to have housekeeping sweep them up the next day, which they did as soon as we left for the day. We didn’t have any more dead bugs the rest of the stay…very weird.
Lastly, our room was located right across from the restaurant, so on the weekend when it was busy, people were parking in the driveway for our room, blocking our car in. I would suggest that the staff direct restaurant guests to park elsewhere so they aren’t impeding upon the space of the...
