( Positives: ) The rooms are pretty and every morning the beds are made for you and things like soap are restocked. Snacks and drinks can be bought in the lobby. Breakfast coupon for one person each morning. Allows for you to get a free or discounted breakfast in the hotel cafe. Also free coffee or a special drink of the day (ranging from pineapple juice to horchata) As long as you have your room card you're allowed to leave and come back whenever you please. I heard some horror story reviews about not being allowed back in the hotel after 9pm (Don't listen to those, you're allowed out later, it's just not recommended. There's also staff that watch over the entrance overnight while the doors remain open) Free Wifi and a Roku TV Patient and friendly staff Remote controlled AC Convenience stores and places to eat are a very short walking distance away. ( Negatives: ) Not many fluent English speakers, but some DO speak English (just ask) I recommend staying at the hotel with a friend that speaks the language, or use a translation app. Sometimes neighboring rooms can be noisy. Staff also knock on the door in the late morning to see if you're around and need your room cleaned. (I've been woken up from this, but if you're there for long enough the staff pay attention to when you normally wake up and they wont knock on your door anymore; they wait for you to leave to get breakfast or something) In my case the Wifi stopped working for a day or 2. It was eventually fixed, but something like that could happen. There's places that are close that offer free emergency Wifi (like Carls Jr or Walmart) Overall? Cozy hotel, worth the price. And I'll...
Read moreThe front desk person I dealt with staying there is terrible; has no customer service skills. Check in took 1/2 hour though she had the reservation, she required me to email the reservation & proof of payment. Room 102, is next to the elevator motor, so and, hear street noise. They had vacancies to give me a better room. The key card reader did not work so each time I had to wait for a maid to open my door. The rain shower head did not work and dripped like a hose. I lost credit card room key and they charged me $5. | There is no work desk in the room, and they denied me the very nice conference room which was empty, She sent me to the front t.v. room, which has a very nice but is next to the street noise and the open front door., which they won't close They have small work stations in the t.v. room, but only one uncomfortable chair which I used a pillow from the sectional in the t.v. room to make it work. | The televison has 40 Spanish channels and if you go to the input button on the remote, you get Xumo Free TV. It has 5 news channels (NBC, Today show and ABC GMA), 20 movie channels and a bunch of other cable channels. | It is in Otay Mesa which is 8 miles from Centro Tijuana, it is a $4 Uber ride and probably $1 if you take a bus or group taxi to Centro Tijuana. There is a Costco nearby, McDonalds and Carls and a lot of small restaurants close. All in all, I don't think that I would spend the time traveling to Youkos Hotel Boutique unless I was going...
Read moreThe pictures are accurate of the rooms, soft linen, lighting is top notch, a/c works great. It took a half hour to check in as despite them having my reservation, I had to email my PayPal proof of payment. My first floor room 102 key car receiver does not work with my key and they said it was broken and that I had to have housekeeping let me in. Since the key card did not work, I misplaced it and they charged me $5 for a new key card, which I have never had to pay when requesting another key card. Room 102 gets some noise from the street and is next to the elevator engine, so there is more noise than optimal. ||Certainly a 4 Star hotel, no refrigerator in room but they have a small community refrigerator in the conference room. The conference room is as nice as a Fortune 500 conference room and a t.v. room with 12 plush leather chairs. I have 2 hours before I am leaving Las Vegas and will conference room to do work. The hotel is about 10 miles, south of the airport in Otay Mesa. However, only $4 by Uber. Will definitely stay again in this...
