Hotel Avenida Cancún — Hotel in Cancún

i am usually not very picky with hotels, but i would never recommend this place and i feel sorry for those who book it. So here is what happened: Getting ready for my flight back to austria i had to sleep 1 day in cancun to get my connection flight. Without realizing it, my room was exactly next to the main street. The traffic was so loud that i wasn't able to sleep for an hour without waking up, even tho i usually sleep pretty good.

on top of that the bathroom has a cold water. no warm water, which is not a big problem to me but to some it might be.

But such a noisy place. i know its a cheap place, but dont come here. its not worth your time and money. in this place its impossible to get sleep and thats disgusting in my opinion. we all need sleep to be happy.

on top of that i dont know why she gave me exactly the room closest to the traffic. i dont know why. maybe she just was mad or didnt like me?...

These were ok rooms, bed comfortable, clean room and bathroom, air conditioning was the best part. Wifi worked TV limited. Reception spoke no English and I'm sure we overpaid, they weren't nice or helpful. The bell boy or door man were great and friendly, spoke a little English but so kind and helpful. This hotel miss represented it's self. Online listing said restaurant, pool and close to downtown. No services not even ice, frig or microwave. No restaurant, no pool, far from everything. Maybe affordable but you spend everything you saved on taxi's or buses. Too hot to walk more than a block. Very unhappy...

Rooms smelled horrible. Front desk told me a different price when I went to pay, and then added on another charge for using a credit card. Definitely not worth it. Rooms were clean though and they did have soap. The butler/serviceman was nice and it’s a pretty decent location. Only 40 min to airport in...
