Lucky enough to enjoy this place while playing tourist with our wonderful guide in Playa del Carmen!
If you're looking for the best local joint for true, authentic, delicious Mexican tacos, run to this place!
Following a day of enjoying the beach at Akumal, Mayan ruins at Tulum and the cenotes of Casa Tortuga, our awesome guide Rudy brought us here and ordered tacos - Al Pastor and Sirloin. We enjoyed nopales first (marinated cactus and very tasty!) and Negra Modelo. Then the food came...so quickly.
The Al Pastor tacos were full of flavor Pork but seasoned so they are slightly red from and enjoyed on a corn tortilla with onions, cilantro and some of the best salsas ever!! The sirloin was tender and so rich with beefy flavor. Quite simple, but done perfectly right. Our hotel concierge joined, Eric, and he ordered a blended meat with pork, beef, chorizo and cheese and this came with flour tortillas. The taste was amazing!!!
Add to this a fun, bustling atmosphere and you will experience a perfect evening!...

The smoothies were not very cold one time, but just right the next time, so you might want to stress it if you want it extra cold. Seems like it is not so easy to reach without a car and feels like the locals ratio is higher than in the other two. During the day it wasn't crowded at...

If you stick to the basic tacos (pastor, chorizo and sirloin), the prices seem reasonable... Until you see the microscopic tacos that will come out of the kitchen.
And 80% of the menu is expensive and more expensive. And considering that my dessert of "cookie cake" was a disappointing pile of cheap Maria cookies, sour cream and canned peaches, I wouldn't bother trying anything "ellaborate" out of...
