I am absolutely appalled by the way I have been treated at this hotel. ||I booked for 7 nights, first of all no hot water, I can live with that. Then after 2 nights there was a storm and my room got flooded, I went to the front desk to ask if they had a room inside that wouldn't get flooded, they kindly moved me to a room upstairs then as soon as I had unpacked everything I found a huge puddle of water behind the bed side table with cables in the water!!! ||When I went to the front desk again, they sent someone up with me to go and check then he left and they did nothing and said nothing just left me in the room. ||I packed my things and went back to the desk (I have just rescued a dog to take back to England and so you can imagine the difficulty moving around with her and her large crate for the plane). No one helped me. I asked if they could book me a taxi, they said none available.||So I was left outside in the pouring rain with my dog and luckily got on Uber to the only other hotel I know in Cancun.||I stayed 1 night at another hotel, tried to contact Booking.com who also didn't help. I had to pay a lot for an emergency night at another hotel. My luggage was lost in Barcelona flying over to Cancun so I already spent all my money on new clothes and essentials. ||Because this hotel and Booking.com wouldn't refund my 1 week stay, I cant afford to stay in another hotel so I had to come back to this hotel today where they messaged me and said I could check in at 09.30 so I arrived then but they left me waiting outside until 11.30 without a reason.||As I was waiting outside an angel checking out gave me a bag of food, I told her my story and that this food will keep me alive until I leave on saturday, she told me that they have apartments here with kitchens to cook so I asked the desk if I could stay in an apartment, they said NO. I told them I have no money for food and asked if there was a kitchen I could use during my stay, they said no. ||Then a member of staff showed me to my room and didn't even offer to help carry something so I struggled with the dog crate and my bags, he didn't even speak to me. And to top it off the room they put me in stinks of mold!!!||I have travelled to 51 different countries and this is the worst experience I have ever had. ||I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL.||JOINED WITH...
Read moreHotel is great if you’re on a budget. Stayed here for a few days for spring break. Our hotel room look spacious and decent. Wish there were carpets instead of hard floors. Receptionist service was decent. When it comes to them speaking the English language, they are usually familiar and understand the language. Every hotel room comes with a balcony view!
Many times we had no water due to pipe issues, and one time we had no water all day, until the water truck arrived to our hotel to fix the issue. Shower water is no issue since we get hot and cold water. If our water doesn’t work, then all the hotel room’s water doesn’t work, and the nearby homes near our hotel’s water doesn’t work either (according to receptionist).
The nearest bus station from our hotel is a 15 minute walk or less. The neighborhood is very safe in which is located in the hotel zone. There are local food stores and a pharmacy near our hotel. It is very safe to walk to your hotel from the bus stop at night.
For laundry, it is right next to our hotel, and it costs 200 pesos. We were estimated to pick it up the next day, or depends how busy the waitlist is. No worries, the laundry person knows English perfectly!
I personally recommend to book here, instead of booking a cheaper hotel in...
Read moreI only rated a 1 as 0 was not an option. I'm not a perfectionist and can usually male anything work, but this was TERRIBLE. This place goes by multiple names, Green 16 being one, so BE VERY CAREFUL. Cudos to the photographer whose pictures made this look habitable. The pool was more like a pond that was a breeding spot for mosquitos. They claimed to have wifi and internet, but only available in the lobby. The reservation confirmation stated that breakfast was included, which they claimed was a mistake. We finally got it for the first night (only) night. The buildings have huge cracks from top to bottom. These are not surface cracks. Some are so large in width that you can stick 2-3 fingers in. The max that you should pay here is 10USD and that is only because the door locks and there is a bed with a thin sheet. We had booked for a week and started looking for a new venue within the hour.
