As a WIVC member for many years, we have always booked vacations at the Puerto,Vallarta properties. This was our first experience in Cancun since our last visit to the city in the early 80’s. First and foremost, Coral Mar is a wonderfully maintained, quiet complex far from the hustle and bustle of downtown. Our unit 32 was a one bedroom with close access to the pool and a grand view of the lagoon. We were excited to have a restaurant on site after reading all the great reviews. Unfortunately, the restaurant is now run by new management! The menu is limited, service very sloooow, closes at 5 PM, and the alcoholic drinks are not very good. It is very unfortunate since the location of the resort has a captive audience since no other restaurants are in the immediate area. A convenient fully stocked mini market is great for immediate needs. The travel agency on site is fantastic. All excursions can be booked through it and transportation available from door to door. I would definitely suggest booking airport transportation through them at $99 for round trip service for up to four people. A taxi one way is $85! As for taxi service, forget about it! Uber is the way to go with considerably cheaper fares and great service. You can always depend on the young ladies in reception who have great restaurant recommendations. We really enjoyed El Fish Fritanga…great location on the water and amazing menu. A fantastic excursion was the Columbus dinner cruise. Delicious food, unlimited drinks, great entertainment, and exceptional crew. We were glad to experience the resort, and Cancún, in general, but we are back to Puerto...

Coral Mar was absolutely not what I expected when booking my trip to Cancun. This place is mainly used by the owners who seem to love it so if you’re not familiar with the condos or the area I would stay away. They are located in a residential area not far from the Hotel Zone but far enough. Everything is old and outdated but clean and comfortable and the staff are really nice and accommodating. There is only one restaurant on the property and the menu is limited but if you have a request they will also try to accommodate but the hours are limited. The pool is small and not very inviting more like the average motel pool and of course if you want a chair you have to get out there to grab one. THERE IS NO BEACH 🏖 but you can go to the sister hotel and use theirs which is actually really good and I would highly suggest going there if you end up staying. I honestly wanted to leave when the taxi 🚕 dropped us off and the driver even looked at my reaction when he said we are here and giggled 🤭 a little 😆but my husband suggested we give it a try since we were there and it was paid for so we did and it was just ok but I will NEVER 👎🏾 stay here again 😝. I even saw one lady go off on her husband when they arrived and refused to even go onto the premises 😆then shortly after I saw them leaving with...

The resort was smaller than I expected. I believe it is for more mature adults. There are no stores or attractions near this resort. It is an older resort, nothing like the Marriott or Riu resorts. I will say the staff is amazing!!! They are very helpful and attentive. Everyone is very polite and helpful. The food at the onsite restaurant is authentic Latin cuisine, and delicious. The prices are very reasonable. They offer a happy hour every day with a 2-for-1 special. ||What I also liked, they offer excursion packages at the resort. I initially looked online for excursions while booking this trip. The reviews were awful for most of the excursions I was interested in doing. Their excursions aren't the same as the ones posted online. Their prices include entry fees for some excursions (Chichen Itza). The online excursions provide transportation but do not include entry fee costs. I found that all the excursions that require a docking fee are not included in the cost of the excursion. Each person must pay this fee in cash once they arrive onsite for the excursion. WIVC let us know upfront of all the charges we would incur. I like their honesty. They also offer package deals where you could save a few dollars by booking excursions together. I liked this, it saved...

Day 1 of my 7 day stay we arrived to an old dated room a bit disappointed but the view of the lagoon. Horrible experience on day 2 after returning from ATV, ziplining and cave exploration experience there was an extremely rude and unprofessional staff Osiel of 25 years who told my son, husband and I that they did not have any clean towels. The most difficult part of the entire response of Osiel is that he say "No, who do you think you are?" as if asking for clean towels was uncommon. I am a member and customer; I called the emergency membership line and Osiel then told me towels would be delivered to our room. The next morning on day 3 I shared the experience with the the front desk and asked for the manager who did not arrive to apologize until day 5. Each staff member apologized except Osiel as the staff made excuses for his behavior which is more concerning for a 25 year employee to be allowed to treat guests/ customers in such a manner. The ask for clean was simple and should not have been considered unreasonable. I would never recommend this place to anyone who has just a simple expectation for a clean towel daily.

The hospitality at this establishment is like no other. The staff is genuine, sincere, pleasant and happy to help with anything. They go out of their way to accommodate their guests. The administration got wind that my son left to the hospital in the middle of the night and had emergency surgery. Upon his return from the hospital, they relocated us to a lower level for his ease, helped us cancel pre paid tours, and checked in on my wife and kids while I spent 3 days with my son at the hospital. The rooms are clean and turned every day, grounds are clean and well groomed. Location is away from all the chaos and nasty traffic Cancun offers. The local restaurant has a limited menu, but it is all freshly made. There is a small store right outside the grounds, but it has all the basics we needed. If you like a slow pace and relaxation, give them a chance, we were thankful to land here and if we go back to Cancun, we’ll stay here again. We’d rather rest and get out for daily outings as opposed to never leave an all inclusive resort to party all day…..but that’s just us!

I had an amazing experience in Coral Mar. The rooms are clean, the staff is very attentive and the location is great. It is in the Pok-ta-pok street which is a gated area where you will have the most peaceful stay with nice views of the lagoon. It is a bit isolated from the zona hotelera which makes the perfect place for a cozy stay, yet it is close from the Kukulcán street where you can easily take a bus that can take you to all the hot spots and public beaches. The food is ok, I would recommend to do a small grocery shopping and cook your breakfast as they have a very well equipped kitchenette, there is a mini market close by or you can go to the nearest supermarket (Chedraui in zona hotelera). There is an on-site travel agency and the agent is kind and welcoming, there are some nice tours at accessible prices, we just didn’t have enough time to give it a chance. There is a small pool to jump in a relax or you can just chill by the pool. Beware, you cannot get in the lagoon as you may encounter an alligator. Excellent stay overall!
