Bungalows Los Flamingos — Hotel in Compostela

Reserved 3 nights here with a king bed, got 2 double beds. Owner’s son was nice but the owner was not. Room had dirty sheets, bathroom sink stained, like it belonged in a mechanics shop. The bottom sheet was the dust ruffle for the beds, pillows hard. Door lock loose, anyone could push open with a bit of force. Curtains falling apart, probably from sun damage. Unable to use electrical outlet as it would short out the all electricity to the room. Electrical wiring going all different directions, certainly was not safe. Located in a residential neighborhood so area quiet, with easy beach access. No maid service, had to make my own bed. Asked about beach towels and owners wife said to take the room towels and exchange them at the desk as needed. Went to the beach and returned to exchange towels and husband yelled at us for taking the towels to the beach in front of other customers and would only give 1 clean towel. No hand towels or bath mat in room. There was not a spa or restaurant. Street parking only. We decided to leave after the towel issue. I would not recommend...

First of all I usually don’t complain but this place that we booked thru Expedia was not what we expected. When we booked a room with a queen bed, we got a room with two full beds. Electrical outlets and wiring seemed to be not to code. Had issue where I could not even connect my laptop. The only thing I could have plugged in is my phone charger otherwise it would trip the a/c and the fan and the bathroom light from working. We even left early because we could not take a shower either so we ended up booking a different place. The staff not friendly except for one. We took pictures of what we had issues with such as blood on the pillows, furniture falling apart, bathroom sync and wiring trip overload issue. I honestly would not recommend this place and will notify Expedia about this place is not what they have on...

My experience wasn’t quite as bad as the other reviews, but it still wasn’t great. Their card reader didn’t work, forcing us to pay a big rate at the ATM to get cash for them. The beds are hard, the room is cramped and the bathroom was less than ideal, but the owners would come and clean and they did a pretty good job. It isn’t top of the line by any means but it served my family well for a week. I also liked the location being a close distance to both Guayabitos and La Peñita. I also believe that the family that runs this place is doing their best, they’re just trying to make their way...
