Chacala is a great beach for those willing to venture off the typical vacation area - large resorts, all inclusives, etc. Las Brisas is very well staffed, excellent restaurant onsite, and VERY CLEAN rooms, I believe we had maid service every day. Did I say comfortable bed? This was our 3rd stay in Chacala, and our first at Las Brisas; our first two visits we experienced HARD beds, very uncomfortable for us. We finally found our comfort zone at Las Brisas. This is a small place, maybe 10 rooms or so, probably best known for the restaurant. ||||The hotel was visited by many Mexican families while we were there, an awesome experience for a couple of Yank's like us. We were practicing our Spanish with the other guests and staff, while they practiced their English - fantastico!||||No frills at this beach, other than the long floating banana ride towed behind a panga, although I'm sure you could rent a boat & driver for fishing or sightseeing. This is the best swimming beach I have found on the Mexican pacific side.People in the water all day, us included.||||Great food and drinks, beautiful sunsets and lots of relaxation. Gracias a todos en...
   Read moreVery bad, the only advantage is to be in front of the beach, but the service is less than minimum : The rooms are tiny and not designed for staying at the beach, so expect to walk and sleep in sand and dirt in your own room ; Bad soap ; bad towels (we got 3 towels for 4 persons and no beach towels) ; no hot water for the showers ; the food is meee ; the waiter refused to heat milk for our baby ; there is absolutely no notion of service ; the breakfast is strictly coffe and bread/fruit, don't look for anything esle ;
Overall, you will feel unwelcomed and mistreated here. Locals don't come here, only gringos who booked through third party hotel websites do. There are several other options to stay in Chacala where the rooms and the experience are x10 times better, and the prices are half compared to those of las briscas. So disappointed to be here,...
   Read moreThis is such a fabulous place I almost want to keep it a secret. From the time we booked until checkout, we had such a great experience. Some tips: small deposit required upon booking (PayPal), prepare to pay balance in pesos upon check in. Every morning breakfast is included and fantastic. You are right on the beach. The restaurant had a small but great selection and the staff are very friendly. You are on vacation so relax and be patient- don’t expect super fast service. Most staff have rudimentary English, but try your Spanish and laugh a lot. We made the mistake of trying other restaurants- but kept coming back. This is THE destination for a relaxing holiday; so only tell your friends. We will be...
