LaLaxtli is pure magic. We hosted our rehearsal dinner here with 33 guests, and it was truly unforgettable. The setting is absolutely dreamy — an old armory transformed into a whimsical fairytale courtyard, complete with lush greenery, twinkling string lights, and flowing canopies. It feels like dining in a tropical jungle paradise — intimate, enchanting, and totally unique.
The service was impeccable. Edgar and Esther have created something incredibly special here — more than just a restaurant, it’s an experience. Every detail was thoughtfully executed, and their warmth and professionalism made us feel so welcome and cared for.
And if that wasn’t enough, they also catered our wedding dinner at our offsite venue — and once again, it was perfect. Everything Esther suggested was spot on. From the flavors to the presentation to the flow of the evening, she really knows how to plan and deliver. It was seamless, delicious, and beautifully done.
Thank you, Edgar and Esther, for going above and beyond to make both of our wedding events so memorable. We’re so grateful for your talent, heart, and...
Read moreI loved this delightful outdoor dining restaurant for numerous reasons! Throughout the day, they bake delicious sourdough breads and worth-the-cheat cinnamon rolls.
The ambience created by the view of the bay, shade of the large trees, peaceful music, historic architecture, comfortable chairs, and robust WiFi make this a paradise to visit each day.
The service is consistently outstanding, and the owners are some of the most delightful and friendliest people I’ve ever met. My life feels richer by getting to know them.
Every entree we ordered was satisfying, healthy, and delicious. Their diverse pizza selection, French toast, omelettes, low carb egg breakfasts, and detox green juice were all amazing.
I highly recommend Lalaxtli restaurant for its delightful zen dining experience that will satisfy every...
Read moreLalaxtli is in a class by itself in Chacala. The service is attentive. The atmosphere is relaxed, welcoming, zen, with flowers and strangler figs growing up walls of what used to be an armory 300+ years ago. We've enjoying coming here practically every day during our extended stay. Our favorites are the infamous cinnamon rolls (ask to get fresh out of the oven), organic coffee, egg burritos, low carb breakfast, green detox smoothie and for lunch, one pizza made with sourdough crust is more than enough for two. Edgar and Esther (owners) are more than happy to interact and make useful suggestions. Edgar even invited me to join him to town to provision for our boat! I can't recommend this oasis...
