A Hidden Gem with Outstanding Dining Experience!
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Posada de las Minas Hotel's restaurant, and I must say it was an extraordinary experience that deserves recognition. Although I didn't stay overnight, I was immediately captivated by the hotel's charm and ambiance.
The restaurant itself was a delightful surprise. The moment we stepped inside, we were greeted with warm smiles and a cozy atmosphere. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. Their knowledge of the menu and willingness to accommodate our dietary preferences was commendable.
Now let's talk about the food. Oh my, it was nothing short of amazing! Every dish we ordered was a testament to the chef's creativity and culinary expertise. The flavors were well-balanced, and the presentation was simply exquisite. From the appetizers to the desserts, each bite was a burst of deliciousness. It was evident that the ingredients used were fresh and of the highest quality.
Despite being a small hotel, Posada de las Minas Hotel has managed to create a dining experience that rivals some of the best restaurants in the area. The combination of a charming ambiance, attentive staff, and outstanding food truly sets this place apart.
I regret not being able to stay at the hotel itself, but based on my dining experience, I can only imagine that the accommodations would be equally exceptional. The level of service and attention to detail demonstrated by the staff during our meal left a lasting impression.
I highly recommend Posada de las Minas Hotel to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience or a cozy place to stay. Whether you're a local or a tourist, this hidden gem is worth a visit. I can't wait for the opportunity to return and indulge in their culinary delights once again!

Read moreWe discovered the Posada on a recent weekend visit to Pozos from our home in nearby San Miguel de Allende when we dropped in for a delicious lunch at their restaurant. We booked an overnight stay during Semana Santa in the hopes of escaping the touristic madness of San Miguel. We were not disappointed. Efficient checkin allowed us to get comfortable in our room a little before 3 pm and in time to enjoy another delicious comida at a table just outside the door to our room. Los Vaqueros is a spacious room with two twin beds and decorated whimsically with a cowboy theme. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was spacious with plenty of towels and toiletries and a large closet with bathrobes and slippers and lots of hangers. The room and bathroom have windows that open for ventilation but do not provide privacy when restaurant guests are using the tables outside them. A ceiling fan and infloor heating and gas fireplace ensure your comfort in whatever season. Our dog was happy to curl up on the cowskin rug while we ate and explored the historic and friendly town of Mineral de Pozos. Our experience was enhanced by the hospitality of the manager, James. Our car was parked in a secure and tidy parking area adjacent to the hotel. Access to its entrance is severely hampered by the narrowness of the street and cars parked immediately opposite its gate and entering and exiting with our |SUV was difficult. The historic mansion has been lovingly restored and beautifully decorated and maintained. Although all suites were occupied it was extremely quiet and perfect for a restful sleep. The proximity of our room to the restaurant makes sleeping in impossible but we wanted to be up anyway for what turned out to be a well-prepared and tasty breakfast which is included in the room price....
Read moreMy wife and I recently spent just one night here. The hotel is beautiful. The employees are friendly. The restaurant is very good. The prices of everything are reasonable. There is off-street parking, important if you arrive by car. One odd thing that we took advantage of is that the two apartments cost the same as a regular room. The two apartments are larger than the regular rooms, and they come with kitchens. Hard to beat. We stayed in the Buenavista and, as the name suggests, it has a good view. Actually, a stupendous view from your private balcony and all the windows to boot.||||I have one bone to pick, however. The hotel also has a spa a couple of blocks away. While they once included the spa, or at least some of it, in your room price, they do not anymore even though the hotel's website says it still does. It doesn't. The spa is where the pool is, which means if you want to take a dip in the pool, you must pay more, and it's not a small amount either. I forget exactly how much my wife and I paid each. While I can see charging for massages and food from the spa's restaurant, hotel guests should not be charged extra to take a dip in the pool. Period.||||But, aside from that, great hotel. Highly recommended. Be aware, however, that there is next to nothing to...
