I don't know what fit of meanness and tight-fistedness caused me to think that this hotel would be a good idea. First of all the cab driver hadn't heard of it and couldn't find it despite it being 3 blocks from the bust station and we ended up using my gps. I had a fight with him about his ineptitude and was invited to leave his taxi which I did gladly and asked a pedestrian for directions who pointed out the "hotel" which was right on the other side of the road. To be fair, the taxi driver could be forgiven for not recognising it as a hotel.||The entrance was virtually hidden behind a taco joint. The owner, wife and baby Victoria, after whom the hotel is presumably named, were lolling around in the lobby and were friendly enough, took down no details and led me to an inside room which looked nothing like the cutesy pictures on Expedia. They were kind enough to actually go and get my husband when he also couldn't find the hotel, probably in an attempt to keep us there! We stayed because we were exhausted and too lazy to look elsewhere, not to mention the fact that we had already paid.||The bed was like sleeping on a slab of concrete, as were the pillows, the a/c barely worked, the tv didn't work at all and the following morning after a TERRIBLE night of music and shouting outside in the street which was still perfectly audible even in our inside room as well as somebody moving furniture directly above us, it did not come as a HUGE surprise that the shower had absolutely no pressure and that there was no hot water.||The pictures shown of this hotel are misleading in the extreme and it is in a very sordid bit of steet although an easy walk to the more touristy areas. ||The taco restaurant in front of the hotel looked spectacularly good and was packed with both Mexicans and tourists and we regretted not having...
Read moreWe travel a lot in Mexico and stay at a lot of different places, some good and some not so good. I don't need a 5 star hotel, just a clean safe place to stay. I booked the Hotel Victoria because of the price and thought it couldn't be that bad but I was wrong.||||The pictures are deceiving. The pool is really just a room on the bottom floor where they dug a hole and put in a little pool. It is dirty and I would not get in it. It is really in an old room. The front desk is a folding table under the stairs. No computers here and when I paid the guy he just put it in his pocket. ||||The hotel is over a bar and it was very loud with music and drunks all night. The bar is full of drunk locals and tourist and it was really dirty. The noise ended there at 6am then the hotel turned off the air and it got hot so we had to just forget sleeping. The web site says that the air is only on at night and that is correct.||||The room was dirty and very old. The beds had thread bare sheets and a worn out bed spread. They were all dirty, we slept with our clothes on and slept on top of the bedding. The shower/bathroom was very small. You had to step into the shower to shut the door. The water is cold only. They said there was hot water in the morning but it is only on for an hour so I must have missed it. ||||My wife was not feeling well and I had things I wanted to do so I asked them to turn on the air while my wife that stayed in the room. They turned it on for a few minutes then turned it back off. We didn't feel save leaving our luggage there so we took it to the bus station and left it there while we did what we needed to do in Zihuatanejo. ||||There are lots of nice little hotels to stay at in Zihuatenejo that are low cost but are nice and clean. ||Don't ever stay at the...
Read moreThis is one of the worst hotels I have stayed in. Please do not stay here. I made a reservation by phone and we had agreed on a good price. When I get to the hotel, the owner tells me it is high season and the rate is not valid anymore. She offers me a discounted rate for less days. I decided to take it because I had nowhere else to go (big mistake!). During my stay they never once cleaned the room. They turn on the A/C until 11pm, when the temperature outside was 90F degrees! And they turn off the A/C before 7am, I woke up sweating more than once. The staff is rude and inconsiderate. I have found ants in my bed. And the rooms are outdated and old.
Pros: price and location
Con: Staff is very rude and inconsiderate, room condition, A/C is turned on until 11pm and they turn it off before 7am, cleanliness, they do not let hotel customers in before 8am and out...
