I booked a last minute trip to acapulco, a getaway weekend that i was idling for months, i booked this place online while on my way to acapulco, on the bus. ||||I arrived late evening, which caused an issue because the place it stills stuck somehow in the 60s , although they have some sort of secretary that takes care of anything done online, she leaves at 7pm ( i was told ) and any online reservation done pass that time will be pretty much stuck on their inbox til next day. so that caused a delay on my booking, the staff its pretty much local and most of this people are old school, so pretty much said, we have no access to the office and even if we did we dont know how to use the computer.||||So well i had to come up with the idea of leaving a deposit for the night and try to settle it down in the morning, because it was worthless to argue about it, afterall the front desk guy seem very honest and responsible so thats why i went that route.||||The hotel was fine, it is probably one of the oldest in the area, but well kept, its only 2 story on the front of the main avenue, place was cheap reason why i booked on it. But it is u get what u pay for type of thing. I guess because i came in on a non busy weekend, the place was pretty much deserted and had no bother at all, i got a room with 1 bed too many, and a brand new a/c unit, the bath had a rustic bathtub, but i took the chance on taking a hot bath one night and was just fine.||||The patio, has a bar and a pool, im sure this place has seen way better nights, so im just gonna say the pool was clean and had decent size for the size of the hotel, which i was the only one using it! supposedly has a tennis court, but wasnt able to go for lack of time, raqs and balls. It has parking, so i think thats a plus, because while walking on the strip i could see how many of the new hotels dont have parking or they do but its an extra buck||||Stay on this place, if its not busy, due to ive read reviews that this place its a wreck when they get full and i could understand that.. i mean the staff doesnt seem to be prepared for critical scenarios, so no wonder some people has encounter bad customer service or bad...
Read moreSo I spent some time in Mexico City and Cuernavaca in May 2005. Took a bus from Cuernavaca down to Acapulco ($US25) and went to a travel agency. They didn't have ANYTHING left, all the hotels were booked. I had no idea that it was "Semana Santa" (Holy week) in Mexico. Acapulco basically becomes New Orleans/Mardis Gras!!! Students, Drugs, Crime, it's all bad! Of course if you like to party then go for it, but this hotel SUCKED. I checked in and paid $300 US for 3 nights. That's $100/night, when it usually goes for $49/night. They doubled the price!||||My Room: Toilet did not flush. No hot water. AC didn't work. Two double beds were both HARD, and only one of them had a pillow (1 room, 2 beds, 1 pillow!!!). The phone had NO CORD IN IT!!!! I sat on my bed and literally cried for like 30 seconds. I wanted the perfect vacation and got a bunch of crap!||||I went down to the lobby and DEMANDED my money back. Surprisingly, they were like, ok no problem! So the staff was very nice. I went back to the travel agency and the only other hotel option was Las Brisas, one of the best. I was able to put my $300 towards the new hotel, but it was $2250 MEX PESOS/night (US $210). I WOULD NEVER STAY AT ACAPULCO PARK!!!!!!!!!!!!!...
