I choose this hotel considering the reviews on Trip Advisor. My brother in law was getting married in Mazamitla so we decided to take advantage of the wedding and spend a few days in this beautiful town. Let start with the pros:The property is very close from downtown. Our Chalet was beautiful and very spacious. Beds were comfortable and clean. The view from my chalet was pretty and very relaxing. The cons: The complimentary wood was terrible. It was so wet than even with the fire starting package you can`t keep up the fire. Room service in the mornings its very slow. The food is not great but its ok. I had to wait like 40 minutes to get my breakfast. I experience some problems paying with my credit cards. The first time, I was making a last minute reservation for my father in law and I had to use 3 credit cards to be successful. The front desk lady said that I must have some problems with my cards. I used my cards several times in town after this incident and never had any problem. I had to pay a last bill for room services at the check out and I went through the same problem again. I think the property is beautiful and the location is great but I would find another option the next time I...
Read morePlace is really nice, comfortable and cozy. You can buy groceries at the local market or convenience stores and prepare your own food (there's room service, but is a little expensive and not very good). Except for a microwave, you'll find most of what you need. Highly recommend to go to the local market and buy fresh fruit and vegetables (delicious, fresh and cheap), and also taste local dishes and beverages, specially during the morning (try birria, and jugo verde, among others, you won't regret).||During weekends occupancy is almost full, but you hardly notice any crowd. You can spend the day in the cabin, take a walk and enjoy the beautiful surroundings or take a tour (several options available if you go to the town, 10mins drive).||The weekend we were there, there was a party. Not sure if it was inside the hotel or somewhere close. The music was really loud and annoying, and went on until really really late. The shower was cheap as very little water came out. Weather is usually cold, so having a poorly functioning shower was painful.||Overall our stay...
Read moreWe had a bad experience with the attention in front desk and we decided to look for other place.||We wanted to stay only 1 night, we arrived to the place and there were like 5 people at front desk, one girl attended us but only said there was not rooms available but that she needed to check, after 15 minutes of waiting we had to ask again because we realized we had been completely ignored, we asked if she was able to give us information about rooms available for that night.. we thought she was searching on the computer but obviously she was not. She only said she was not able to tell if one will be available that night, that would need to call other place in Guadalajara... but she did not try. ||||At the end she just confirmed she was not able to help. In my opinion front desk should be kind and there to provide information and not just leave the customers waiting without providing the whole information or being clear from the beginning. || ||We left the place, the first sight is front desk and the attention is very...
