This hotel in particular cought my eye since day one. As you walk into the hotel you'll admire the colonial interior and most of all the warm welcome of the staff. Our bedroom was lovely. If you are "not" an early bird make sure you request a quiet room, we had a nice view to the colonial street but around 5am or so the city awakend and so did we. In more detail, the bedroom sheets were immaculate, wifi worked, great indoor atmosphere and the location is great. However, the A/C did not work and those nights were hot. Now the bathroom, toilets worked and were clean, shower needs a little tender loving care. If you dont mind a little calcium on the showerheads, then your good. On the bottom level of the hotel they have a small outdoor garden/patio where you can sit and enjoy the view. I titled my review "downtown enchantment" because it is. When the sun sets and the street lights go on, the little window that we had in our bedrooom was iluminated by the beauty of Morelia. Hard to explain. Bottom line, this...
Read moreGood price for a hotel so close to the Zocalo. We were within a 15 minute walk through the historic centre to the main square in Morelia with its imposing cathedral. The hotel staff were pleasant but very disorganised. One of our party asked for ice at the front desk and because she was bilingual she was given a telephone to talk to a lady who wanted to confirm a reservation for two weeks out. They chatted for at least 10 minutes while the young man went searching for ice. His co-worker was busy with other clients and would not take time to look up the reservation on her computer. She told our friend to tell the customer to call back to the reservations desk at 9am the next day. Not exactly great customer service. ||Our rooms were serviceable and comfortable but quite shabby. Good Internet connections. Restaurant staff were friendly and helpful Good value for the money...
Read moreBooked via Wyndham for 900 pesos a night for 3 nights.||Arrived at around 2PM and was provided room on 2nd floor. Please note there is a service elevator but you will have to go up a few stairs to first floor..its a bit slow...i used the stairs during my stay.||The room is old and a bit in need of TLC. Queen bed was decent but lumpy pillows. Smart TV , however, the Netflix and Amazon were still logged in from previous guests. Clean bathroom with older towels, limited amenities, decent water pressure. But it also needs a renovation.||No breakfast proved, but they have a bufet on premise for 250 pesos (it looked good but preferred getting stuff from Oxxo a few blocks down)...Great location, 10 minutes from cathedral and they do arrange for tours with a local company (do the Janitzio...
