La Casa en el Bosque — Hotel in Michoacán

I stayed at La Casa en el Bosque for two nights during Dia de los Muertos in 2013. There were 5 of us in our group and we stayed in cabins 4 and 5 (these can share a common living room/kitchenette). This is a beautiful place with a lovely view of the lake and surroundings. There are only about 10 rooms, so it feels more like being in someone's country home than in a hotel. The rooms were comfortable, very well kept and clean. As others have mentioned, breakfast in the courtyard was a great experience, with delicious food and great service. Al llegar a Morelia, navegamos en la red, y encontramos este Espectacular hotel, está en el BOSQUE!!!; |A pesar de No contar con reservación (debido a que por cuestiones laborales no podíamos programar la salida exacta de la Ciudad de México), muy amablemente nos dieron información, y nos esperaban en patzcuaro el viernes por la noche, para mostrarnos la habitación;|Las habitaciones son tipo Cabañas, pero con todas las comodidades para descansar de negocios, por placer con tu pareja, por viaje familiar, para cualquier tipo de viaje; Son muy confortables y sobre todo SUSTENTABLES, son a base de muros de tabique y madera, con casi doble altura interior, lo que las hace tener un confort en temporada de frío y temporada de calor (es predecible), El agua caliente de la regadera, te das cuenta inmediatamente que debe estar conectada a los calentadores solares, por la temperatura y presión que tienen, dichas características para mí son esenciales;|La atención de la anfitriona es sumamente acogedora, te hace sentir en tu propia casa, muy atenta y respetuosa, siempre está pendiente de cualquier cosa que necesites (por cuestiones de alergia alimentaria, llevamos siempre alimentos preparados para nuestra hija, y hasta en este tema estuvo siempre atenta de ayudarte);|El desayuno está muy sabroso (imaginen desayunar con una vista al bosque, a la alberca y al centro de patzcuaro, impresionante!!!) y las proporciones son muy abundantes, me pareció muy bueno!|La alberca está súper limpia, se observa mantenimiento, no tuve oportunidad de usarla, pero con sentir la temperatura el viernes por la noche, se te antoja meterte enseguida, pero NO pudimos...por el tiempo que lo traíamos muy justo.|Un hotel muy preocupado y ocupado por el entorno, respetando y cuidando a los animales que frecuentan el lugar...|Todo muy seguro, limpio, y acogedor...Espectacular!!!|100% Recomendable; El|Precio se me hace muy justo por los servicios y amenidades que te ofrecen y por el entorno; No le pide nada a los hoteles del centro o de renombre; No dudaría en regresar!!!|Mi hija...

We stayed several days in December and very much enjoyed our stay. Maria Dolores, the owner, is a wonderful host and is very pleasant and helpful. We are a family of four and stayed in one of the cabins, with rooms adjoining the kitchenette and living room area. My son loved swimming in the pool and there is also a small trail on the property for a short walk through the surrounding forest. The rooms were very clean and comfortable.
