Hotel Boutique Marianous House — Hotel in Nayarit

The hotel advertised a room at a good price. It presents pictures of large rooms with spacious accommodations. We paid in advance through a booking service. When we got there they gave us an extremely small room, nothing like the pictures. It was clean and we did get breakfast and secure parking, but the advertising is deceptive. They show a large well equipped room and offer a price. When you agree to those terms they switch you to a very small room. It is so small. There is less than three feet to walk and put luggage on two sides of the bed. You can barely close the door to bathroom when on toilet. There is no screen on the window so you cant keep it open due to mosquitos. Pretty crazy. I asked why the room is so small and they said because of the price I paid. What?? I paid exactly what I agreed to based on the offer, but they didnt deliver what they advertised. Deceptive. On a good note, the staff was polite, parking was secure, and breakfast was included. Exceeded our expectations. Would stay here again if I came back to Tepic. Super cool Mexican boutique feel to the property with tons of outdoor sitting areas and plants to make you feel welcome. Our room had a king size bed and was very comfortable. A/C worked great, wifi was fast enough to download some Netflix for our trip on the departure day. The refrigerator in the room was great to keep waters cold for our trip. The shower had a rainfall shower head with tons of water pressure and hot water (unlike other hotels that I have stayed at recently in Mexico) bath products were nice as well. This hotel is easily walkable to all of downtown historic area. There is also an amazing restaurant, Emiliano, just 3 blocks away. Super clean, friendly staff, and a hearty cooked to order breakfast of Eggs, Chorizo, and Chilaquiles (included in the room price). Poor facilities: What you see on the internet is not what you get. Improvised furniture, not even a decent wardrobe. Rusty faucet in the bathroom and a shower curtain that falls every time and is mouldy and dirty. Not the minimum decent standard for hotel, bad electric installations, and no windows in the room. Want to charge your phone? Do it on the floor. That's where the sockets are. 6.Not disability or elderly friendly as the terrace is accessible only by stairs 3 floors up. Noisy, all the reception movement gets into the room. I really struggled to decide to review this place, and I was thinking about the people working there, but even their service doesn't compensate for the disasterous room they gave me.
