We stayed at this hotel for two nights in December 2015. The location is OK but nothing within walking distance and the area is also not pedestrian friendly. We arrived at the hotel and were greeted by an unfriendly lady at the front desk, she wasn't rude but she was just not what you would expect from a service person. We were given a room that hadn't even been cleaned, I'm assuming, since the night before. The cleaning lady told us they were understaffed but that the room would be ready in 20 minutes. We decided not to wait there and went for a bite to eat. The hotel is conveniently located if you are driving as Citadel shopping mall is merely 5 min away. When we came back, we went to the room which was sparsely decorated and quite small even for that type of hotel. The sheets in one of the beds had a couple of what looked like cigarette burns, and this is a non-smoking hotel. The bathroom was small and they don't even offer a hairdryer. There were two complimentary 500 ml. water bottles in the room, one of which was open and almost empty. This was particularly disgusting as it seems they don't even bother checking for this kind of thing. The wifi never worked either. Breakfast was very poor, hardly anything to choose from and with no staff to wait on the customers, each one of us was asked to pick up after ourselves, this is definitely not what I expect from this hotel chain. There was nobody to help the customers with their suitcases either, no bell-boys of any kind. This was a very disappointing experience, the price-quality ratio is absolutely appalling, I am definitely not coming back as there are many other similarly-priced hotels...
Read moreExpect to pay hotel prices for a motel experience. Sheets were dirty, likely left unwashed from the previous guests. Room smelled like mold and cigarettes. Hair dryer hand been yanked out of the wall. No tissues. My entire family booked rooms here when we came in town for a wedding. My elderly mother didn’t have towels in her room.
Imagine a real estate listing that only sounds good on paper and looks good in pictures. I should have known the red flag when they wouldn’t answer my call via WhatsApp since I was calling from out of country. Something about their lines not working when WhatsApp is completely data driven.
Left that place like a fat kid running away from healthy food. I expected a whole lot more considering they market themselves as a professional hotel. Definitely not kid friendly.
Saw a few migrants hanging out drinking in front. Littering their beer cans without a care in the world and saw a white truck swoop in and detain them. Found out later it was immigration. There’s no way of properly vetting these vagabonds. I’m all for hospitality but these guests are running the place into the ground and management hasn’t done much to put the guests at ease.
Asked for a refund and the front desk person said management would reach out. Got a message (via WhatsApp of course) and management said “no refunds because their system wouldn’t allow it”. We’re in the year 2023 and they don’t know how to reverse a merchant payment.
Avoid this place at all costs. I’m not even going to go into detail about the mysterious insect bites we noticed prior to getting...
Read moreSpent two nights here before flying out. Friendly staff, nice, warm breakfast and free shuttle to airport at any time (we scheduled it for 5am, and they were ready and waiting for us). Unfortunately, those are the only pros. ||||The rooms were dingy and need to be updated. The carpet was dirty and spotted with stains. The metal fixtures in the bathroom are rusted and need to be replaced. There were a couple of pump bottles of hand cream and hand soap and both were empty. No hairdryer in the room, and when I asked for one at the front desk, I was told I needed to leave a deposit in order to get one. First hairdryer stopped working after a few minutes and needed to be replaced. Elevators are tiny. My husband and I barely fit with one backpack and hand luggage.||||One weird thing that happened was we were never asked for payment when we checked in, even though my husband had his credit card in hand, ready to pay. When the guy at the front desk didn't accept the card, we assumed our card was charged through the reservation. It wasn't until we asked for the hairdryer that we were told we hadn't paid for our room. ||||Another issue we had was the reservation policy. About an hour after we made our reservations, a friend actually offered us his place to stay. We called the hotel to cancel our reservations and were told we would still be charged for one night. Needless to say, we ended up just keeping the reservations.||||If you're looking for a place just to sleep, I recommend staying here. Otherwise, it's best to spend a few extra dollars and staying...
