I joined my husband on a business trip (our first time to Monterrey) and wanted a hotel where I'd feel comfortable alone during the day. I couldn't have picked a more perfect place! We felt welcome from the moment we arrived at the airport, where a driver the Westin arranged met us and brought us to the hotel. A bellman was waiting for our arrival and after taking an elevator to the main lobby, we were greeted and had our temperature taken.||||Check-in was smooth and we were pleased with the clean and modern look of the hotel. Our room was spacious and the bed was super comfortable. Housekeeping did an amazing job during our stay.||||We used the fitness center, which was well appointed, and the spa, which was incredible! We enjoyed a truly fantastic couple's massage for very reasonable rate. The co-ed jacuzzi was wonderful along with the ice cold plunge pool. I was hesitant to try, but it really did alleviate some aches and pains I had been experiencing.||||The rooftop pool had gorgeous views of the surrounding mountains, and the attendant was super helpful in setting up an umbrella to provide shade, along with lunch and drinks. ||||The only slight downside for me, was F & B. The hotel restaurant, Brooklyn, is a beautiful space with views of the mountains. Although service was welcoming and attentive, the food itself wasn't what we expected at lunch (we ordered a chicken salad and pastrami sandwich, both of which we did not enjoy). However, breakfast was delicious. The other issue was that Room service did not arrive at the time requested (called the night before to have it delivered by 7am and it arrived about 45 minutes late). Next time I will just have breakfast at Brooklyn.||||The Westin is located next to a beautiful 3-story outdoor mall with many nice restaurants and shops. We did not have a car, and the hotel does not provide valet, however the parking deck is directly below the mall, which would be very convenient for hotel parking. There is also a wonderful steak house, Holstein's, right next to the hotel entrance, where we ate several meals. There is even a movie theater in the mall with a few English-speaking movies. I didn't go, but liked having the option.||||We will be returning to Monterrey in a few months, and the Westin is the only place I would...
Read moreI recently stayed at The Westin Monterrey Valle and had an exceptional experience from start to finish. Located in the upscale San Pedro Garza García area, this hotel strikes a perfect balance between luxury, comfort, and convenience.
Check-In & Staff: Check-in was smooth and welcoming. The staff spoke both Spanish and English fluently and were incredibly professional and attentive throughout the stay. Every request — from extra towels to restaurant recommendations — was handled promptly and courteously.
Room: The room was spotless, modern, and thoughtfully designed. The Westin Heavenly Bed lived up to its reputation — incredibly comfortable and made for restful nights. The bathroom was spacious with rainfall showers and quality amenities. Floor-to-ceiling windows offered beautiful views of the Sierra Madre mountains.
Dining: The on-site restaurant, Orfebre Cocina Artesana, was a highlight. Breakfast had a great mix of international and local flavors, and dinner was equally impressive. The rooftop bar and pool area was a great place to unwind in the evenings.
Facilities: The rooftop pool is small but offers stunning views of Monterrey. The gym was well-equipped and never crowded. I didn’t use the spa services this time, but the facilities looked top-notch.
Location: Perfect for business or leisure. Walking distance to luxury shopping and excellent dining options at Plaza Fiesta San Agustín. Easy access to the business district and major roads.
Overall: The Westin Monterrey Valle offers a luxurious and relaxing stay with exceptional service and amenities. It’s a great choice if you’re looking for comfort and the perfect...
Read moreThis hotel has, unfortunately, aged pre-maturely considering its relative newness and is hard to recommend at the moment. Despite its great location and attractive physical appearance, many of the positives seem to be skin deep.||||My stay was the aggregate of annoying paper cuts. 50% of the two guest-facing elevators were out of service, leading to long waits or an RFK-style walk through service corridors to access the industrial elevator. Two of three eliptical machines are out of service (one with a sign that says it’s out of service, the other simply doesn’t work with some kind of software update). The hot water in my room took eight minutes to get warm (I actually timed it). As a Titanium, I was given an amenity and a note. Unfortunately, the amenity was partially eaten and the note was for someone else (ironically, for an Ambassador, an even higher level). The Nespresso machine is great to have in the room. It would be greater if they actually replaced the coffee pods. Finally, when the hotel first opened, it took several months for its license to service alcohol. Alas, the failure to manage it's bureaucracy has resurfaced and the hotel cannot serve alcohol.||||All of these are relatively minor unto themselves. But, when you combine them all, you have a series of inconveniences that speak to overall poor management. Fortunately, there are many better options...
