Casa Mayo B&B — Hotel in Oaxaca

The house is beautiful and cozy, also there is a cute little garden with cactuses. Our suite with a private bathroom was awesome! Very big, with nice decoration. There was even a wardrobe room. The bed is kind size and super comfortable.

It’s pet-friendly (I loved that they put Lola’s name in the welcome letter) and there is a parking place for a car. As we were on a road trip with our dog it was important for us. The distance to the Center is about 12 minutes in a car. The reception girl was very nice and gave us good recommendations about the restaurants.

The breakfast was usual, the food was good but the next time I would prefer to breakfast in a restaurant in the city to have something special. Although to breakfast in the little garden was nice.

The best hospitality in Oaxaca by far! My husband and I, were visiting Oaxaca, and this place was the one that got our attention. The host is super attentive and sweet. The place is nicely decorated, the bed is so comfy, the whole is place is spotless & smells divine! The complementary breakfast is delicious! Plus Sheny(owner) put a lot of attention in our vegan request!

We had a vandalism accident in downtown and Sheny and her family were beyond helpful, called a locksmith man, helped us with everything! Thank you!!

I love the attention and care Sheny puts in her place. Just loved it! You can tell when someone loves their job! This is totally a 5 star place! BOOK IT!!!

Lamentablemente mi experiencia no fue positiva en este lugar pero comenzaré relatando los puntos positivos:

uno de los pocos lugares petfrieldly para hospedarse en Oaxaca, mi perrita se sintió en casa, no había restricciones y eso definitivamente hace la gran diferencia para nosotros que somos una familia super perruna. hay detallitos de decoración y cuidado que se aprecian mucho... música relajante siempre, agua y café a disposición.

Negativos: tuvimos muchos problemas con nuestro baño, comenzando porque mi hija se quemó las manos con la manija hirviendo de la ducha, era muy difícil regular el agua, y nuestro baño se inundó imposibilitandolo todo un día de los 3 que estuvimos. el baño de mi papá, un hombre de 73 años, era sumamente peligroso, una tina hidromasaje muy alta sin un step o grada para entrar y salir. El agua de igual manera muy difícil de regular. el desayuno fue bueno pero si me extrañó la falta de opciones, para ser un desayuno que no fue barato, tuve yo que pedir si porfavor podrían darnos más opciones pues a mi hija no le gustan los chilaquiles, enchiladas, etc. Finalmente tuvimos que desayunar fuera perdiendo ese dinero pues de reembolso ni hablar. finalmente y para mi lo más grave de todo fue la falta de empatía, no voy a decir que no nos solucionaron los inconvenientes pero el acercamiento fue muy poco empático y frío como si fuese nuestra culpa lo del baño o si estuviésemos abusando por pedir otras opciones de desayuno. (Hablo específicamente de la anfitriona pues la chica que limpiaba era un amor). Mi hija se olvidó su cartuchera (que para ella es un ítem muy importante) en un restaurante cerca del hotel y llamé y llamé y escribí para solicitar ayuda y la respuesta fue tan fría y poco empática! Por suerte el muchacho del restaurante nos solucionó con muchísima amabilidad. En fin. No voy a decir que no recomiendo pero sinceramente, me esperaba mucho más guiada por los comentarios que leí. No más lujo ni comodidad pero si más empatía que finalmente es lo que cuenta para mi. Le doy 3 estrellas por ser tan...
