Hook Blue Oaxaca — Restaurant in Oaxaca

Worst place possible in Oaxaca, though very nicely set. It is located in Casa de Adobe, a very nice restaurant in San Felipe del Agua. Very nice view... Problem starts with an incredible short list of options for beverages. Late and careless attention (we spent the whole night asking to lite the candle on our table- we left after 2 hours with the candle unlit)- food was late and cheap. We asked for simple burgers, and 2 tacos... not even that came to the bare minimum standard. The gouda was burnt on a grill, until it had no taste whatsoever, to match an overcooked and dry patty which came in all three cases without the promised bacon. When needing some extra liquid to gulp down what they called a burger, I was informed that they didn’t have any more cold beer (!?!!)... Pricey, awful food, bad attention... the decor cannot compensate so...

Hit or miss. I got a shrimp ceviche and the guac tasted fresh and delicious. The spinach cream dip was good too. The queso fundido was a memorable cheesiness I really appreciated. We were a table of 21 women and some said the fajitas were good but a small portion. Personally I didn’t care for the taco gobernador style. My cousin ordered the salmon w shrimp looked good. So flavors depend on what you get I guess because many of my companions did not like what they ordered. It was convenient since we were staying in the hotel and the bar had great music. Minus two starts for charging the tip on my card when I has specifically said we would pay cash...

Pésimo servicio! Primero fuimos a celebrar un día especial, y pedí un T-bone t. Medio.. Y me lo trajeron carbonizado!! Y solo atinaron a decir: "ups, se nos pasó un poquito".. Luego en navidad compramos el paquete donde pedían el 15% de servicio ¡por adelantado! Entre otras cosas ofrecían colas de langosta, música en vivo, y foto conmemorativa; En fin, llegamos y no había ni música! No dj, no nada. El menú mágicamente había cambiado completamente.. En vez de langosta, pavo. "riquísimo", "es clásico", "le va a gustar".. Y no, no lo estaba, ni de chiste.. La foto, ja! Tomada con celular!! (no es broma).. Y por si fuera poco, el servicio pésimo! Nos sirvieron seis tiempos en 40 min.. Y nos corrieron (pasaron la cuenta, prendiendo las luces, apagando pantallas, etc) a las 11:00 pm.. ¡En una fiesta de navidad que ellos mismos organizaron!... Pésimo....
