Loved it! Me and my soon-to-be-wife were the only guests in the hotel. The keepers and owners of the place are super warm and welcoming, we felt very well received the moment we arrived. The cleanliness was superb so it came as no surprise that they have a state certification for being the only hotel in Mahahual to follow the health and security requirements and procedures for Covid prevention. Rooms had a lot of space and the pool felt really private and cozy. I very much recommend this hotel and such its staff with such a high quality service and attention to detail. I absolutely loved jaiba and their hospitality!! Amazing service right from the start, beautiful room, and lovely rooftop/patio with hammock for relaxing. We had stayed at a hotel on the actual beach right before coming here and it didn’t even compare, this was much nicer and cheaper. It’s worth the 20 pesos for a taxi to head to the main area, which is only a 3 minutes drive away. Another thing to note, the internet is excellent. My boyfriend had to work from home and had no issues where as the hotel on the beach was extremely spotty. Very friendly and caring staff that works hard to give you the best experience possible. We felt very safe and well taken care of. Our room was upgraded for free. The room was spacious and spotless clean and had a great view. Lovely decor and good coffee. They make their own Shampoo. You can get bikes to go into town. And there was no distracting TV, which might not be for everyone, but we thought it was better this way and the WiFi was good! And all of this for a very good price....
