La Capilla Hotel Boutique — Hotel in State of Mexico

La Capilla is a small hotel within walking distance from Valle's main square, market and cathedral. Rooms are clean, cozy and spacious. We quite liked the cabin-like decor. Bed and pillows are really comfy! Bathroom is also spacious and the hotel provides with a selection of good quality toiletries. ||||My boyfriend and I stayed here for New Year's Eve. Valle can get loud on this weekend with all the fireworks, but we certainly enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere in La Capilla. The pool area was a particular favourite of ours, although they could do with some heating this time of the year -water was freezing cold!||||Breakfast offers fresh fruit, juice, good coffee, cereal, toast and a small variety of Mexican dishes - all yummy! One can also get eggs if requested.||||This is clearly a high season for hotels everywhere and it seems staff at La Capilla were overwhelmed by this. We arrived just before check-in hour and were told the room would not be ready for another hour or so, as the cleaning ladies were too busy. We said this was not acceptable and we got the room a few minutes later. Whilst no member of staff was rude to us, it was clear they have too much to handle and that reflected on the lack of proactive attention they offered both at reception and at the restaurant, where nobody welcomes you, shows you to a table or tells you eggs are also on the menu if you don't ask. Nice hotel, very well located, no more than 10 minutes by car and you are in the lake, 2 minutes walking to be in the downtown. The attention is almost excellent, amenities difficult to find in other hotel, good relation between prince and service. ||I totally recommend this place, I have been there for business purposes and for familiar vacations. The pool is great and clean. The spa is accessible in relation with the cost, lot of options to choose from a single massage to a therapy. ||The breakfast is served in a buffet concept, but if you want you can ask for something different. In general the experiences I had there are very positives. ||The art gallery is interesting, I bought a rustic picture and the price was according. My son was excited with the chocolate provided since we arrived to the room, during the weekend he asked for some extra bars and the manager gave him a complete box for free. Small details making big differences. ||Totally different in comparison with the rest of the hotels there. ||If you want to spend some days in a romantic way, this place is perfect. We quite enjoyed our stay at La Capilla - the staff were warm and friendly, the room was clean and comfortable and the property itself was really quite lovely with a nice garden and pool area. Overall i would stay again at this property. ||||My only real suggestion to the hotel would be to install phones in the rooms to avoid having to go to the front desk in person. That said, any problems we had were resolved quickly.||||Other than that, the breakfast (which was included) was great - fresh fruit, yogurts, cereals, pastries and your choice of a few hot options including eggs cooked to your liking.||||**The great location of the hotel was right in the thick of things as when we were there, there was a weekend market/celebration right outside the hotel making it a busy and loud stay.
