La Venta Inn Villahermosa — Hotel in Villahermosa

I liked the convenience of the location, plus the hotel doesn't look average. I got a Junior Suite and the air conditioning didn't work with a 90 degree weather. It was pretty ridiculous, so They came and checked it, and it didn't work after 3 hours. They brought a broken fan, it was super loud. They don't have coffee in the room or hand towels in the bathroom. They have a restaurant their food is average and customer service is pathetic. We walked in, no one said hi or acknowledged we were looking for a clean table, so the main person Lorenzo saw us getting napkins from another table and utensils buthe didn't care he kept watching tv. We got our food no one came to check on us. I asked Lorenzo if they didn't have waiters to serve people and he looked at me upset and left the restaurant without saying a word. So I wasn't to happy about it. I got to the room and someone knocked on the door, they needed to make the room, so I said come back in 20min, she said ok and came back 5min later. I told her to come back in 15min and she came back again in 5min. She said I need to make the room because I'm in a hurry and she got in the bathroom and started bringing cleaning supplies inside and I said... EXCUSE ME i need to use the restroom and I'm not ready. So I got in the restroom and when I got out she was making the bed. Unbelievable!!!! So...

This hotel was one of the best i have been. It is not an expensive hotel (Villahermosa is expensive so finding a good deal is not always easy).||I found this hotel in TripAdvisor and booked hoping to get a good room. We booked a king size room. It was very spacious and clean. The AC is really silent and everything is new. The bed was amazingly comfortable. ||The staff was very courteous. Even at the breakfast buffet the staff is always trying to help you. That doesn't happen at most of the hotels that gives you the free breakfast. Here everything i tasted was delicious and they have a good variety. Also very clean restaurant.||I also find it good to be close to La Venta Park. We didn't visit but went to a restaurant 10 minutes walk from there. They have options for some restaurants that gives you room service, which i find very useful, but if you want to find a restaurant you can walk behind the hotel and you will find some options or take a taxi you will be there...

This place could have been nice. We arrived after a long 12 hour day of driving with our dog. This place offered pet friendly rooms which can be hard to find at times. Anyways, they charge us 300 pesos for the night for the dog, which is typical and expected. Well when my husband checked us out of the room they charged us an additional 200 more pesos. They stated it's for cleaning the room. My dog is very well behaved. She's a trained service animal that only uses the restroom outside. She certainly doesn't mess with any furniture or walls. They charged us more because they had to sweep and wash the sheets! Shouldn't they always be washing the sheets?? I felt grossed out after sleeping in them and realizing this. I don't understand why state you charge one fee and then charge more on top of it??

I wouldn't recommend this place based off of this experience. The breakfast was good but not worth the troubles...
