Due to fact that Ulcini's private accomodations have very low standards I had to take hotel for 2 nights of my stay. Hotel leaflet can be found in tourist office. From positives, hotel is big enough to provide seperate parking slot for your car, so you are not worried about it
I need to add here that I walked into the hotel without any prior booking nor telephone announcement I am comming to the reception. (22:00 at night)
Reception is open till late hours and there is no problem to communicate with personell in english. Hotel accepts VISA so you can pay by card (which is not standard in MNE) Receptionist, after looking into my nationality in my passport, offered me 2 person king size bedroom for 62Euro per night. The room itself appeared very good, its been refurbished roughly 3-5 years ago. Bathroom looked clean and tidy, SatTV / AC/ Fridge included. Hotel main building is surrouded by blocks spreaded around the area, offering roughly 100 rooms with different standards and if you are newcomer you do not have idea what you can expect and you are put in receptionist hands. Positives: Nice view on all town and sea bay, Parking slot, Tidy and clean room cleaned every day by room service. Swimming pool - clean, but water is not heated up when nights got colder Negatives: Junk containers are located next to main stairs heading to reception. After long hot day, smell was unberable. The refurbish quality is very poor, sink stylish but its not crewed properly to the cabinet, so you had to be aware of it and be careful once standing on slippery surface. Tile finishing started to degredate. Food - breakfast served till 10am included all standard dishes, coffee was very bad. Wall made like from paper, you could hear neighbour room next to you. Also, balcony windows werent soundproof, which caused you could hear traffic and noise from city center.
In overall Mediteran Hotel is best option to stay in Ulcini as it clean and tidy. Personell is helpfull and kind. The proce should be 20 euros lower in my opinion as there was too many pick points lowering standards. From my side i give it 3/5. Recommend for all who wants to stay short period of time and dont want to worry about...
Read more5min away from the Small Beach, which is a good thing as the night life here is a lot of action and in case you want some piece and quiet, you’re not in the midst of action;|- I’m staying at the room 426, which is a great size, clean, balcony and good view of town. The shower has a great water pressure. The hotel also has a good size pool;||- The negative thing, I asked for extra towels and the front desk person asked me to pick them up myself from reception as it was too far to walk for their workers. The room from the reception it’s about 4 min walk, not a big deal for me. ||- The thing I’m really disappointed is that we asked for a second key since is two of us in the room and we are gonna do our own thing. The front desk was adamant about not giving us the second key! They told us that if one of us doesn’t have the key, we could ask the front desk to open it for us. Remind you, they are a 4 min walk from our room and we should not go through that, especially since it’s a keycard key and this hotel it’s not on a cheap side by Montenegro standards. I’ve travel to 40+ countries all over the world and stayed from a 5-star hotels to really cheap ones. None of them has refused to give me the second key, especially since there is two guests. I know it’s not a big deal, but we are on vacation and our schedules should not revolve around the key thing. |We are still here and planing to talk to the manager after breakfast. Will keep you posted as this review might change based on...
Read moreQuality of the hotel was quite adequate to the price. One thing i would like to point out is that we had a problem with hot water - the boiler wasn't warming up the water. We called a technician - if he can help, and he came to the boiler, looked at it and said: ,,Neznam". (Which means ' i don't know in the local language) And then he left. The other morning we came to the restaurant (which was for some unknown reason on the fourth floor) for breakfast. We ate some food (which was kinda good) and returned to the room. When we arrived the boiler was fixed, so no more hot water problems. Overally, i think the hotel wasn't as good as I expected, but it was sufficient, so i don't have anything other to...
