Imsouane Green Wave — Hotel in caïdat de Tamri

I’ve been to the Greenwave hostel twice now, and both times it felt more like staying with friends than in a hostel. Mohammed, the host, is incredibly kind and caring - he really looks after everyone. In the evenings, he often plays gambri, and we all just hang out in the living room, playing card games and having good conversation. It’s super relaxed and naturally social.

The vibe in the hostel is chill, the people are open and easy to talk to, and the atmosphere is just warm. A lot of nights we cooked together, shared meals, and talked for hours. The interior is simple but beautiful - traditional Moroccan style, really cozy.

The first time I arrived in Imsouane in 2024, I booked an apartment in this beautiful surf house with three friends for what was meant to be just a surf trip. Back then, I didn’t know that I was about to meet one of my best friends here — and the person with whom my new project, Respiro d’Oceano, would be born. For this reason, I might not be the most “objective” person to review this place — but I can say that it holds a special place in my heart. The kindness, the cleanliness, the calm atmosphere, and the warm welcome Mohamed offered us back in 2024 are the same he continues to show every day since. If you are searching for a place which feels like home, stay at green wave. Dorm and facilities are new, spacious, clean but the most important is the vibe - which is one of a kind. Playing music together, cooking, go surfing or just joking around and hanging out is happening every day. And not it this “forced” way, just naturally.
