Imsouane surf paradise — Hotel in caïdat de Tamri

Imsouane surf paradise is truly a paradise! The house is beautiful and has an amazing garden/ outdoor area overlooking the bay. Perfect to chill and watch the surf. We stayed in the "small" room with a separate bathroom and liked it very much. Everything was clean and the size of the room was nice for two people. The manager, Hamza, is an amazing host and is truly accommodating to all questions, needs and wishes. We enjoyed having him around a lot. The breakfast (which is included in the price) is nice, too, and it changes every day. The chef at ISP is an amazing cook and she made the best tagine that we had during our time in Morocco. The rest of the staff is extremely friendly too. It is rare to find a place that makes you feel at home during a holiday, but this place is different. Very calm and good vibes. This hotel is perfect with affordable price especially for surf and beach activities!

I stayed in 2 single bed room on the 1st floor for 5 days. This room has a small terrace that you can check some part of the beach. (can check waves)

I would like to hightlight few things here.

Location: I can just say this hotel is on the best location to access the beach. You can easily bring your surf board to the beach from this hotel.

Staffs: I arrived hotel around 3 a.m. but the manager nicely guided me without any problem. And from the next day, I could get tons of information from him. And other 2 lady staffs are also very kind. I was happy to see their smile.

Breakfast: For me, this hotel was the best restaurant in Imsouane. I really enjoyed their breakfast every day. They also can prepare dinner if you ask them earlier. I...

Imsouane è un piccolo villaggio di pescatori sulla costa atlantica del Marocco, situato tra Essaouira e Agadir. È diventata famosa soprattutto tra i surfisti per le sue onde lunghe e per un’atmosfera più rilassata rispetto a luoghi più “turistici”.

Pro / Cosa mi è piaciuto

Onde spettacolari La Baie (The Bay) offre una delle onde destra più lunghe del Marocco, “peeling right-hand point break”, che in giornate buone può durare molto. Ottima sia per intermedi che per principianti quando le condizioni sono giuste.

L’altro spot, Cathedral Point (o “The Cathedral”), ha una rottura beach break e può diventare più impegnativa, ideale se hai già esperienza.

Paesaggio e atmosfera La spiaggia è bella: sabbia, vista sull’oceano, scogliere nei dintorni, villaggio tradizionale, porto con barche da pesca. Ha una bellezza “rustica”, autentica.

Costo relativamente basso Per chi viaggia con budget modesto o ama il surf “on the road”, ci sono surf-camps, guesthouse, noleggio tavole, posti dove mangiare semplici, che sono abbordabili.

Vibe surfistica rilassata Non è diventata “resort immenso” (anche se ci sono state controversie), quindi conserva un certo charme e l’energia delle comunità surf.

Contro / Aspetti da migliorare

Pulizia e gestione dei rifiuti Alcuni visitatori segnalano che la spiaggia e le aree costiere presentano sporcizia, rifiuti, odori, e che in certi punti la gestione ambientale lascia a desiderare.

Prezzi non sempre “local” In zone più frequentate dai turisti, i prezzi di ristoranti/alimenti/alloggi possono essere esagerati rispetto alla qualità o al contesto locale.

Animali randagi / disturbi notturni Alcune recensioni parlano di cani randagi che abbaiano di notte, mancanza di quiete, un po’ di disordine urbano. Se cerchi relax totale forse ci sono momenti non ideali.

Sviluppi e cambiamenti recenti A causa del boom del surf-turismo, sono in corso demolizioni, cambiamenti di infrastrutture. Questo influisce su vibe, disponibilità di alcuni locali, e — per alcuni — “autenticità” del posto.

In conclusione

Imsouane è un posto splendido se ami il surf, l’atmosfera rilassata, la natura, e vuoi uscire un po’ dai circuiti troppo turistici. Non è perfetta sotto tutti i punti di vista: se cerchi comodità di lusso, silenzio assoluto, super pulizia ovunque, potresti restare deluso in qualche aspetto. Ma se sei disposto a un po’ di rusticità, a vivere la destinazione, offre molto — onde incredibili, scorci autentici, buona...
