Moroccan Surf Adventures||This was my first trip to Morocco (and Africa) and it was fantastic thanks to everyone at Moroccan Surf Adventures.||Obviously, you can’t guarantee waves anywhere, but fortunately the surf cranked for the duration of my stay. I surfed twice a day for ten days straight, then had to have a day off because my shoulders were numb.||A massive shout out to Rashid, our guide in the advanced surf group. He was the absolute guru and knew which spots were best at what times. Every day, where to surf was a result of a group conversation of what kind of waves we wanted depending on conditions.||We tapped into a nice variety of waves – mostly reef breaks, one or two beachies. Highlight was 6-8ft Anchors in dreamy glassy conditions. Yes, it was busy but if you got in the mix, sat on the point and waited your turn, it wasn’t too hectic and you could stroke into a few.||The food is abundant and all taken care of each day: lovely spread in the morning, packed lunch on the road and then full meal in the evening. The evening food was a highlight – something different each day of the week, all freshly prepared by Mo and the crew. The quality was second to none, all authentic Moroccan cuisine, absolutely delicious. If I hadn’t been so tired each night I would have eaten more.||The vibe in the surf lodge is just what you want – very friendly and chilled. You meet lots of surfers of all levels and everyone’s just talking about their surf experiences and stoked to have a chat. If you want a quiet one, there’s plenty of space to escape – get a sun lounger and a have a read, watch TV, or head up to the roof and enjoy another spectacular Moroccan sunset. ||One of the best parts was coming back after surfing each day, grabbing a beer and enjoying the villa, which is also beautiful. The accommodation is very clean and comfortable throughout.||Denny and Nige were fantastic – hands-on hosts who spend time with all the guests, talking things through and making sure you have everything you need. It was great to share a few waves with them at Anchors and Mysteries.||All in all, I came for a Moroccan surf adventure, and that’s exactly what I got. My surfing and confidence in bigger waves have improved, I met some fantastic people, and I’ll definitely be coming...

The holiday exceeded our expectations - all the staff were incredibly accommodating and welcoming, the food was incredible and we had lots of fun surfing and yoga-ing!
The villa is gorgeous and has a lovely relaxed atmosphere with a small pool and plenty of spaces to chill out.
Abdullah and Yusef were super patient and made sure we had a great time during the day, always searching for the best spots/conditions for us to surf, being mindful of weather conditions, ability levels and busyness. We went to a couple of different spots throughout the week so we had plenty of variety and it was usually only around 10-20 minutes drive. We asked Abdullah a million questions about life in Morocco and he was always happy to answer us, always with passion and positivity.
Natalie's yoga classes were perfect - very relaxing, and she made a great effort to make sure everyone could get involved no matter what their experience and she was very welcoming.
Momo, wow, such a lovely, fun guy, and the food he and the kitchen staff prepared was sooo good!! Honestly, you won't go hungry! Breakfast, lunch (at the beach), snack time and a buffet dinner - all delicious, home made, healthy food. Momo's cooking lesson on the Friday was enjoyable and interesting to learn more about traditional Moroccan food and culture.
Dahman was always on hand to help with any queries and helped to organise a wash, a trip to paradise valley when the surf was a bit flat (which was rare during our stay), and medication for our friend when she was poorly from too much sunshine. And of course, all the lovely ladies doing the housekeeping and kitchen work - the unsung heroes!
Oh and last but certainly not least, "magic hands Mohammed"s infamous massage! I've never experienced anything quite like it. Expect to do a few sit ups (I'm not kidding) and feel the strength of Mohammed's hands as he pinpoints the sore spots on your body and kneads out the tension. It was powerful (a bit like a thai massage can be) but you'll feel like a new person afterwards.
I'd highly recommend Moroccan Surf Adventures. We'll...
