Very nice oasis, I had a really good time here! I met Mohamed on the street's of Merzouga and book trip directly with him, because I liked his approach. He offer me to park my van in his garden and welcome me to his family until I was waiting for Mustafa to go together to the desert. They mother made me the best tea ever that I drink in Morocco. Mustafa was my host and he was explaining me how the oasis become oasis and how his family plant the trees and why the water is underneath, how his father was working with the cattle and bringing them to the river far away. Such a nice story! Behind is a big dune that I have climbed just before sunset to have tremendous view over Sahara desert. It was like from the movies :) Thank you very much for a great experience.

This camp is the best and most authentic desert experience ever! The tends are simple, there is no electricity or running water, just super friendly owners, candlelight dinners, and fresh water from a fountain. Mohamed is the most loving and friendliest host. He even teached us how to cook a Tagine and showed us how to play the drums at the bonfire at night. We were also allowed to move our matrasses from the tend to outside to sleep under the stars. Generally, it felt like living together as a family :) The oasis in the middle of the dunes and the trees are the best for some shade during the hot days. All in all, this is your camp if you are interested in the real desert life! Make sure to stay more than one night :)

Mohamed is a great guy with a lot of heart, from the moment I got in touch with him he did everything to make my arrival in Merzouga go in the best possible way (even finding a free parking for my car which was not included in the price). It was a magnificent experience, very authentic. The location of the Obira oasis is simply magical, surrounded by dunes, stars and silence, perfect if you are looking for some peace. Mohamed cooks an excellent Tajine, and is always available for anything, a very polite person, with whom it is pleasant to talk and at the same time respects the privacy of his guests. I felt at home, I hope to return soon, thank you so much for this...
