Located about a ten minute walk from the main shops/ medina. Nice, safe and quiet location. Beautiful view of chefchaouen from the terrace.||Shops across the road.||||Rooms are spacious enough, fresh towels everyday, breakfast provided was plenty. Coffee eggs bread and jams on menu. Sometimes the water in the room was cold but we spoke to the lively owner who sorted this. Family run hotel and all members (Spanish wife, Moroccan husband and sons) are helpful and polite. The owner is hilarious and although may appear moody he had. Good laugh with us everyday and was quite entertaining. Gave us good advice on where to go. ||About 45 min drive from akchour- waterfalls. Read moreThe most dirty hotel in Morocco. Air conditiong extra pay. Smell in our room was terrible as it was from toilet. Even guy which gave us keys admit that. After we changed the room we we noticed that there are so many disgusting hairs on sheet, feezes and the bed simply stinks. As we ask for changing it old guy from reception started to be angry because it was late, and said he is not able to help us just looking at us impatiently. Finally we found blanket in wardrobe and, put in on bed and slept on it. Carpets haven been cleand for years, but its not the end. No hot water and a lot of hairs on sopas in bathroom. Read moreWhile in Morocco, I was constantly looking for the cheapest option. I think Hotel Zouar was the cheapest I found ( I think was 100 or 150 dirham). The room was clean and there were lots of spare thick blankets, which I was very happy about as I was sick and it was cold. The toilet was just across the hall and was clean.||The water pressure was terrible, so a shower wasn't an option.||I only ate one meal there. At that time of day there was no choice, so I took the fish meal. It was huge and tasty.||The hotel is about a 10 minute downhill walk to the top of the medina and I just took taxis back instead of trudging back up the hill.||Everyone at the hotel was very nice.
