The holy month of Ramadan is a noisy time to visit Morocco! We were pleased to be a ten minute walk from the medina - and even then we were woken at 3am by lads beating drums, 5am by the call to prayer, 6am by the local cockerel crowing his heart out.|This riad is very clean, with super-friendly, helpful staff. The rooms have air con that you can set to any temperature you fancy, but in chilly March the cleaning staff were turning it off during the day and leaving the balcony door open to air the room! |The stairways and breakfast room were unheated, so we wore layers when outside our room.|Breakfast was generous - typical of Moroccan guest houses. Read moreThis is my second time staying at Casa Familia and I can’t rate it enough. It’s fantastic! My first stay was with my parents in the quadruple room three years ago. The room was comfortable and clean and during the summer it was so nice coming back to air conditioned rooms. I decided to come back again this year with my boyfriend and stay in the double room. It was just as comfortable and this time even had a nice balcony that looks over part of chefchaouen. Perfect for sunset views.
