Hôtel Swani — Hotel in Meknes

This was one of the hotels during our Morocco adventure tour and it was a pleasant surprise. Good location, close to small shops. Nice reception area and friendly staff. Some minor language issues, but nothing major. Nice big rooms, some with balcony. Good size bathroom with shower (good water pressure and hot water). Enough towels and toiletries. Beds with firm mattress (not like some of the lumpy beds you find elsewhere). Very clean and well maintained. Restaurant served good quality food (we had both dinner and breakfast here). Short drive to the old town. Drawback was that there is no safe, nor a fridge. Enjoyed our stay here....

We stayed here for one night on an Intrepid tour.||Our room was fairly small but did have a functioning air conditioner and the shower pressure was quite good. Other members of our tour group mentioned that the AC in their room did not work.||There was lots of noticeable pipe noise when other guests in the hotel took a shower.||There appeared to be nothing of interest to see within walking distance of the hotel.||I would not have stayed here if travelling independently. ||Meals are available in the restaurant on the top floor...

Very happy with my 1 night stay here. It's a 10 minute walk from Meknes station (2 minute taxi ride). Nice and spacious rooms with private terrace - we didn't have chairs or table on it though. Very friendly and helpful staff. We arrived late at night and they were happy to wait with us outside in the cold for some time to hail a taxi to get food in the city centre.
