Maison Tigmi Ozro — Hotel in Tafraout

Boushra(sp?) is the owner and host. She’s fluent in English, French as well as local dialects. I was greeted with a beautiful tea on the rooftop terrace. The grounds/garden are well kept and even signage for plant identicification. My room had a private balcony as well. The water pressure was strong, water was hot. AC and WiFi works well. The room was beautifully and tastefully decorated. Breakfast was amazing on the terrace. And most off all, Boushra makes it extra special. I felt like a welcomed guest in her home with her care and friendly smile. I got very ill after arriving from food eaten elsewhere and she acted as a private nurse. She brought me food, medicinal herbal tea. Nothing is worse than being sick while traveling. She made what could’ve been a total nightmare into a memorable, positive experience. A beautiful place to stay - simple, yet very comfortable. Bouchra is an incredibly welcoming, warm-hearted and joyful host. She went out of her way to accommodate our needs, give us tips for hikes and things to do (she shares a great guide book on hikes and scrambles), provide packed lunch, and generally made us feel at home. ||The house is 5mins walk from the centre - and therefore very quiet and peaceful. ||||Tafraoute is the perfect base to explore the stunning countryside all around. ||||We never had a guide, and getting lost is part of the fun - just make sure you’re happy to backtrack if it comes to it. We always found great round trips though. We spent four nights at Maison Tigmi Orzo. Bouchra was a charming and attentive host. Our room was spotless on arrival and was cleaned each day to an impeccable standard. We enjoyed the breakfasts and the tasty and varied meals she cooked each evening, which we ate on the roof terrace under the stars. We had a problem with our car and she recommended a good local garage which managed to repair it.
