Eastern Palace Hotel — Hotel in Mandalay District

The reason I said it is a tourist class hotel is because the hotel is not really proactive in ensuring everything is run smoothly for their guests. It happened to us when we check in, the room’s aircond was not running properly, and we have to insist of changing room in order to have a decent stay. During our stay there was some renovation works going on, hence there is some loud knocking sounds during the day time. ||The room is decent and toiletries are well equipped. What’s disappointing is the in room TV’s program is very limited. No National Geographic and CNN. Wifi speed is very pathetic and the speed is worse than GPRS connection.||Breakfast spread is fairly limited and can be very noisy when there are huge group of tourists checking in, getting a seat to have your breakfast could be...

I am currently stay in this hotel here is my summary||- Room is good size, nice bathroom, decent facilities||- Their staff attend to their service as best as they can do.||- Nice location : on the east size of Mandalay Place around 1.5 kms||CONS||- Hotel renovates restaurant, and make breakfast is very limited choice, there are 6 hot dishes and only 2 contains meat. They feature coffee machine but no at all. ||- they mention restaurant close on the paper, but not mention the pool is closed and they put chlorine without informed||- the carpet is old on 6th floor||- there is no remote tv on our room, only tv ... what the heck| ||Overall, it is very talent to...

Overall, the rooms are okay. I requested early check-in, and they provided it, but there were no towels or toiletries in the room. I had to ask for them, but the staff were friendly. The swimming pool is nice, and the gym is small but okay for a quick workout, especially if you go during off-peak hours. It would be better if the pool and gym were open longer (currently, they are open from 8am to 8pm). The food is good, and the breakfast is particularly nice.
