If possible, I don't want to give any star to this hotel. I have never stayed in the hotel but I have got friends who have stayed in that hotel. They treat so BADLY and RUDELY to the local people (Myanmar people). They only look upto foreigners and when local friends go to the hotel, they will treat without any respect. This morning (16/Jan/2018), I went to see my 3 friends staying in the hotel (they stay there because it's close to our school). I asked where the dining room is because I have been messaged by my friend that I should come and see them at the dining room. I was shocked that I have been scolded and told rudely how the dining room is full and how busy they are to even have a Local in the room. They used bad words (they mean the owner old man of the hotel) and his wife was looking at me as if I was going to do something bad. I felt so sad and ashamed. I have never been shouted or kicked out from anywhere in my life. This is the first time and I don't deserve this. Dear friends, If you are coming to Myanmar and have Myanmar friends or willing to have Myanmar friends, you'd better NOT stay in this hotel. Believe me, they only look up to Foreigner but discriminate any...
Read moreWe spent 5 nights in the hotel and we've been very happy.||The accommodation has everything you need (it has air conditioning, which is the most important) and it's cleaned. If, like us, you have a room on the street side that it will be very noisy during the day but bearable during the night.||The staff is lovely, polite and helpful.||The breakfast was more than I expected: noodles, eggs, fresh fruit, bread, coffee, tea...||We rented from the hotel both the bike and motorbike. The traffic could be scary at the beginning but, when you understand how it works, going around by motorbike is much better than taxi or bicycle. We visited U Bein's Bridge, Inwa and Sagaing by motorbike. If you decide to rent a motorbike consider wearing a mask for the pollution.||The only downside I can see about the hotel is the service phone (I think it was located in the staff room) ringing at any time, which woke me up more than once very early in the morning. That was very annoying.||Overall, I certainly...
Read moreNice family homestay localized not far from the royal palace at the center of Mandalay. The rooms consist of bungalows. They are nice, clean and full of practical accommodations (except maybe for a mirror in the room itself bit it's merely a detail). The cleaning is done daily.|The breakfast, although not the best we had in Myanmar, is good: coffee/tea, eggs, toasts, fresh fruits, served on a small terrace next to the river so relatively calm.|We rented bikes (2000MMK/day) and a motorcycle (13000MMK/day, fuel included). Our host also booked.our bus tickets to Bagan for us without taking any profits for him.|But what we will always remember and what made the whole difference with other places, are all the attentions they have for their guests. They offered us water with the bikes or the motorcycle we rented as well as some wipes. They brought us some watermelon whenever we came back to the homestead. And when we left with the bus, they offered us 1L of water, a piece of cake and a banana each...
