We arrived and thought we had to be at the wrong place. There was loads of building work going cement mixers and diggers we could barely walk in.||The man at the desk is nice enough but not the usual warm welcome we've experienced in myanmar so far.||Our room was literally a bed and a tiny dresser, no hair dryer, fridge, amenities. There is open gaps under the door to the outside and from the windows in the bathroom. We grinned and said we can't complain for $18 a night... but it got worse.||From 10pm-4am there was the biggest racket that we could only work out to be Karaoke from outside somewhere but the noise was horrendous. We finally drifted off and was woken at 11.30pm sweating because there was no power. So we had no air con until 2am- far from ideal.|We walked downstairs to ask the man if he knew about the power but no one was to be found- again not great if you urgently needed help.||We went back to sleep but was woken by the noise of chickens cooing from 4am (just when the music had stopped!!).||We packed our bags and decided to book elsewhere (Ostello Bello-amazing) instead of our extra 2 nights here. We explained to the man in a friendly manor and he understood and didn't charge us for the other 2 nights. ||The only thing I will add as a positive is the new building looks like it will be a lot nicer when all the work is finished so maybe try once...
Read moreWe came here only because all the other budget hotels were full and it was the most reasonable price we could find. The rooms that we were offered did not match at all the pictures online and we had to bargain for so long to get what we saw online. This already made us feel bad. The room was decent, good enough though humid constantly because there is no window or proper ventilation of the bathroom. The breakfast was tiny and not tasty and we felt bad for even asking more. The staff is horrible and very unfriendly, no smiles, nothing that makes one feel welcome.||On top of that we rented e bike from them that was overpriced (7000) and the battery went dead in the middle of the day. When coming back we tried to explain the situation and expected some discount for we couldn't use it the whole day, instead the girl pulled a whole drama and shoo us saying we should go and not pay at all which made us feel so bad, ending up paying full price and feeling horrible.||Come here only if there is no other option or if you really low on budget and even then make sure to bargain for they will try to duck you with a smile.||I would give a zero out of five...
Read moreI wouldn't stay there even if they pay me. The pictures don't match with the reality!! The quality of the hotel was really bad. Dirty everywhere, specially in the room, where the sheets were quite old and dirty. Not much of furniture in the room but full of dust anyway. WC is not working properly and there was no drain in the shower. Also there was some holes on the wall of the toilet and we found coakroaches both days. Wi-fi has no strength at all. Mattres and pillows are really hard so we got aches in our neck and our back. Breakfast is in the middle of an aisle, next to other people's room. In addition, the staff was unfriendly and didn't even look at us when we were asking them questions.|We've been to other guesthouses and hostels around Myanmar for the same price and there was a huge...
