Bright Hotel — Hotel in Taunggyi District

I booked this place because I saw that there is a curtain to each dorm bed meaning privacy. Well, yes you do get that but all the other experience in this place ruined that. I would had exchanged my privacy for more comfort and cleanliness. Let us start with the PROs: * Curtain for each dorm bed for privacy * Near centre of town * Opposite Night Bazaar * Decent breakfast. If you order sunny side up, it is 1 egg. If it is an omelette, it is 3. And now for the CONs: • It is an 8 person dorm room which is not a problem but you share 1 bathroom and it is in the room. It smells and is noisy. • The bathroom is dirty. * Someone pooped and clogged the toilet. Imagine that. * No locker (not that I remember) * Wifi is bad news. The hotel first disputed the online agoda price, very rudely. Then refused to keep our bags until the bus later on that day, that we booked through them! So we asked for a refund for our bus so we could leave our bags at the ticket office opposite where they would hold our bags! ||They wouldn't give us our money back and even threatened 'that if something happens to your bags we are not responsible' ||I have always had fantastic service in Myanmar but this hotel and staff have really shocked me, especially with the silent threat about something happening to our bags. ||When trying to resolve the issue they walked away. ||Do not trust...

Location and price are good, but I would not go back to this hotel. Staff is quite unfriendly, especially at the ladies at reception. Any small request like an extra slice of toast in the morning seems to be too much to ask and you will be yelled at for this. DO NOT DO LAUNDRY HERE. We received our clothes back with red stains all over it, one shirt was ripped apart and two of my GF dresses were missing. At least we got a part of our money back.
