Inle Star Hotel — Hotel in Taunggyi District

This hotel has a great location, it's right next to the little wooden "pier" where the longboats pick you up to take you to Inle Lake - so I literally walked for 1 minute to get to my boat. It's also about 3 minutes walk to good restaurants and small shops and it's a 5-7 minutes walk away from where the JJ Bus drops you off (I came in from Yangon, but there's a huge JJ sign there so I'm guessing all the JJ buses stop there).||||The staff are really what make it though, so friendly and service minded - they help you in any way with everything. ||||The room I got was comfortable, allthough, if you are a light sleeper, I would recommend requesting a room not at the end of the hotel (where mine was) as the boats and vendors can get quite loud both until 23.30 at night and very early in the morning. Not a problem for me, but I remember thinking "this might bug some people".||||The bathroom was small, but clean. Bare minimum, but ok for the price. My second stay after absence of 2years. Service is always impeccable. Rooms is spacious, on 3rd floor the triple unit comes with balcony, overlooking the jetty, however the engine/exhaust noise fro m the boats below will surely wake you up at 7am.||||We had a problem with the choked drainage on the bathroom floor, was rectified on same day after reported. ||||Buffet bbf choice is quite plentiful for 3nights stay, view from the rooftop restaurant is fascinating||||If you are catching a night bus on the day of check-out, there is a bathroom at the lobby...

We got a room on the first floor, the window heading directly to a neighbour building. The toillet was leaking so we tried to ask them to fix it but none of the guys in the lobby spoke enough english. So they wiped it up but it kept leaking.

On the other side, the terrace for breakfast is nice. They offer standard breakfast.
