We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. We enjoyed the view and the cleanliness of the room. I think this hotel is more suited to business guests than travellers, as I think there are much more authentic places to stay around Kalaw. ||PROS |-The room was clean and it had a nice mountain view |- The staff are very friendly |-We arrived at 3am and they gave us a temporary bed to sleep until we could check in. ||CONS |-The bed was hard as a rock and only had two pillows. I have slept on a lot of hard beds around Myanmar, but this had to be the worst. |-There is currently a building going up in front of the hotel, so expect power tool noise from 8am onwards. |-On our last night at the hotel some local guests were fighting. They were screaming, slamming doors and stomping around from 12.30am until 1.30am. We asked the staff about it the next day and they giggled and said the guests wouldn’t pick up the phone so they couldn’t make them...
Read moreBeautiful hotel, very modern, clean, in excellent location. We were very nicely surprised by a free room upgrade and I have to say the views were breathtaking. It was so peaceful! Staff was excellent, very nice and helpful. All furniture was locally made which was a very nice touch. Breakfast was good, although the jams and butter were already on the table and it looked like they were there quite a long time, perhaps it would be better if they came with food considering many flies around.||From the hotel you can either easily walk to downtown, or to the pagoda. I wish we had more time there!||We asked the receptionist if she could call the train station and check the time of the train to Shwe Yan Pyay, Unfortunately, either she was told the wrong time, or she made a mistake when translating it to us, but we missed our train :-( It would be helpful if such information was available for...
Read moreLovely hotel, clean, new and with all the home comforts. Excellent breakfast too. Staff were very friendly and always willing to help. We arrived at 5am from an overnight bus and were immediately checked in and looked after which was wonderful service. The only slight negative is that it is a little way out of town and therefore not many restaurants nearby. But the views are lovely and there is much to be said for being in a rural spot away from it all! We really enjoyed our stay here and it was more luxurious than most others we've stayed in within...
