The pool area was quiet nice, not big, with a lot of plants and the breakfast was really good. We stayed in the cheaper standard rooms which was clean, but quiet dark, cold and worn. The more expensive rooms at the pool side seems more nice and newer. Their was no aircondition in the room but it was okay in february. The WiFi internet was good. The staff was while we stayed friendly and helpful. You can rent an old and worn bike at the hotel for 1500 kyats. Beaware their are no lights if you go home from some where after sunset.
Their were a lot of warning signs around the hotel 😃 like dont bring other guest to your room.
The hotel arranged a boattour for us. It was early in the morning (5 am) it was great going so early and the first part of the tour was 5 stars the last part where we for hours went around visiting touristy handcraft workshops and pagodas we did not care for. The boattour was 25.000. The hotel made us some breakfast we could bring. That was really nice!
Overall it was a good/okay places to stay. The day we left they checked us out of the rooms 10.30 pm while we were out on a short walk. We did not ask for it. It says on all the signs that you first have to check out at 11.00 pm. So a bit disapointed about that cause we found our luggage in the hall. We were allowed to wait at the entrance room until our taxi came....
Read moreThere two wings to this place. The old wing is about $25US and the new wing about $45US. We booked into the old wing and upgraded to the new wing after the first night. There is nothing wrong with the old wing, rooms are basic but confortable. Some have no windows. We just wanted to treat ourselves for a few nights.||The attached photos and this review are of the new wing. These rooms are great. All timber and well furnished. There are 10 in total, 5 up and 5 down. All facing out onto the pool. Hot water was going and all have air-conditioning. Fridge, TV and plenty of room, including balcony and reading room.||What is outstanding is the staff. Most speak good english and are so helpful. Breakfast is very good and again the service is such that i found myself wishing they would chill out a little rather than trying to guess what i wanted every second. I dont even know what i want that early in the morning :).||So this place has you covered whether you are looking for budget or mid range accommodation....
Read moreExcellent hôtel in Nyaung Shwe, on a great central location but far from the main traffic.
We had an amazing time here, where we spent 6 nights in total. Absolutely perfect after the trekking from Kalaw.
What we loved : The whole staff is so lovely. You got a fresh lemon juice each afternoon, by the pool or in the room Buffet Breakfast next to the pool area. Abundant and, here again, the staff is lovely. Rooms : had the standard room: really spacious, good bed, comfy mattress, a lounge corner, clean bathroom, etc... Price : how could we find a better price for value here? We paid around 20$ per night and got treated like kings.
We checked out at 11am, and they kindly let their guest chill by the pool when waiting for the late afternoon buses : that was awesome.
