I've never felt more safe and well taken care of as when I stayed at your hotel.

All your staff greeted me with a warm smile every day. I appreciate every single one of the for the care and passion they put into their work.

You can tell they care about their service and they are happy to be in their roles.

I have a special place in my heart for your night restaurant staff at the main hotel. What an extraordinary team! I wish them all well and truly hope I will see them again.

My room was always serviced every day when I returned from working at the conference and I truly appreciate that, as I'm sure it can't have been easy due to my messiness. Thank you.

The receptionists at both hotel desks were wonderful and extremely helpful whatever my needs; please extend to them my gratitude and apologies for forgetting to return my room key.

To the team assisting us at the conference, Sergio, Henrik and their colleagues were sensational! Such amazing people. Swift in their actions and accomodating to perfection. Please offer them my friendly fairwell as sadly I didn't have time to get back to the conference building to offer my goodbyes and well wishes.

I truly enjoyed my 13 day stay at this hotel and everyone felt like family. I honestly felt at home there and really got to know the grounds well.

I miss my very late night gym sessions and I appreciate the staff letting me stay there to run on the treadmill well into the early hours of the morning.

I hope to dawn upon your grounds again.

Thank you all

Having experienced the 5star feel and look at The Olive Express and Strand Hotel this 1 night sleep over before flying back to South Africa was a dissappointment. The hotel looks good but the beds need to be replaced, maybe renovations the other reviews referring to is yet to be done for the 2 rooms we saw. The 1st room allocated with 2 single beds flat and falling down towards the heads was changed upon complaining then we were allocated to the nice spacious room with a double bed too small for the room of that size with thin old uncomfortable matrass and linen that look and feel very very old. We decided not to complain this time around as we were tired after driving 4 hrs from Swakopmund but slept with eyes opened looking forward to see the sun and check out. The hotel must upgrade beds, which is what guests enjoys not the look and unmatched 4 str grading right now. Reception must pay attention to detail, I was told that my booking exclude breakfast only when we checked communication that indeed breakfast was included - why this was not checked before arrival?||Takeaway is the beautiful foyer, pool area and breakfast was great, oh yes and a spoil of chocolates locally made...

This hotel employs genuinely kind people who make it their duty to ensure that you have a great experience with them. They are excited to talk to you about menu options and promptly resolve issues when they come up. Colin takes the Movenpick chocolate hour like a personal mission. He'll get you addicted to chocolate with the way he describes them.

Daria at the front desk is such a light. George, Kapere, Desiree, Kahii, and Calvin are some of the people who ensured I had a great stay. They had a kind word every time we met.

The only downsides were the AC that couldn't switch modes except you called the Frontdesk to get Maintenance to do it remotely. However, as with the service here, this was often resolved promptly. Then there was the chef who felt a need to tell me the price of Sunday buffet the minute I walked into the restaurant on 28th July 2024. It felt a bit like profiling.

On balance, this is a good place with...

Large selection on breakfast. Apart from the welcome drink and welcome amenity in the room, one doesn't feel particularly valued here as a status customer. Receptionists are friendly. But emails before arrival with room requests are not answered. In addition, you get extremely outdated rooms although there are renovated ones (presented on the website). Group travelers seem to be preferred (taking elevators to the fifth floor with renovated rooms) All in all, this is not worthy of 5 stars and definitely not for a price of 2790 NAD. We will stay here again at the end of our Namibia trip. Let's see if it's different then and was just a one-off. Update: second stay mich better. Nice Breakfast. Renovated Room this time.

Ouk Lele Day Spa managed by Karin is a must try!!!! I’m from Singapore and I love my massages. At over 50, you can imagine the amount of massages I’ve tried. So I know one when I have one. Karin has a unique way of working with your body. She combines a mixture of breath work, sports massage and swedish massage. The moment I entered her spa, she relaxed me immediately. Her hands are incredibly soft and as she works on your body, it is as if her fingers have eyes to see the knots and work on it! I will be back before I leave Namibia 🥰
