My stay at Hotel De Purang in Muktinath was absolutely wonderful — one of the highlights of my trip! From the moment I arrived, I felt I had chosen the perfect place to rest, rejuvenate, and take in the beauty of Mustang. Location & Atmosphere: Nestled in a serene spot in Ranipauwa, Hotel De Purang is ideally located — close enough to the Muktinath temple for convenience, yet far enough to escape the rush and enjoy calm surroundings. The views of the Himalayas from the hotel—especially at dawn and dusk—are simply breathtaking. The crisp mountain air and peaceful atmosphere truly made me feel like I was in a place of rest and reflection. Rooms & Comfort: The room I stayed in was clean, warm, and beautifully maintained. The bed was comfortable, and the room was equipped with everything I needed to unwind after a long day trekking — hot water, decent lighting, and cozy bedding. Warm blankets and a friendly décor added to the feeling of being well cared for in such remote terrain. Dining Experience: The in‑house restaurant was a delight. They served both authentic Nepali dishes and some more familiar foods, all made with good ingredients and with care. The dal bhat was hearty and perfect for trekking‑exhausted appetites. The staff were helpful in suggesting what to try and accommodating special requests, which I appreciated. Service & Hospitality: What truly sets Hotel De Purang apart is the staff. They were warm, attentive and genuinely kind. Whether arranging transportation, helping with gear, or simply offering a friendly smile or warm tea, their hospitality made me feel welcome every moment. Small touches — maybe extra blankets, clean towels, prompt service — made a big difference. Value for Money: Given its location, comfort, and the quality of service, I feel Hotel De Purang offers excellent value. It doesn’t feel overbearing in cost, yet you get so much: comfort, warmth, good food, great views, and genuine hospitality. For anyone visiting Muktinath — either for pilgrimage or trekking — this hotel is a...

My five-day stay at Hotel De Purang was an absolute delight. The interiors seamlessly immerse you in the local culture, and the rooms provide a level of comfort that's truly unparalleled.

I speak from experience when I say that the cozy ambiance of your room is an experience you wouldn't want to miss, offering solace and warmth amidst the chilly surroundings. And of course, how can I not mention the heavenly experience of a hot shower in the midst of the cold?

And then there's the food! Regardless of your dietary preferences, the diverse range of authentic and flavorful options will undoubtedly leave a lasting impression. The dining hall's spaciousness creates a welcoming atmosphere that's perfect for savoring every bite.

And, lest we forget, the rooftop – the panoramic view that stretches from the mountains to the village of Purang, and all the way to the Muktinath temple, is nothing short of breathtaking.

Yet, what truly sets Hotel De Purang apart is the genuine warmth exuded by the staff and owners. From the moment you step in, you're treated like cherished family, ensuring that every moment of your stay is etched in memory.

It's a retreat that's worth every penny, with each room boasting its own unique beauty and view. The investment is not just in accommodation; it's an investment in an unforgettable experience.

If you're in search of a luxurious and invigorating escape, Hotel De Purang is the ultimate destination. I am already planning...

Stayed for one night while visiting Muktinath Temple. Great location. Rooms are cozy, clean, and with a great view. The soft bed was a letdown. Could not get a good sound sleep. The heater worked well.

There is no lift in the four floor hotel. 3rd floor has a patio from where you can experience the great vista of the dhaulagiri range of mountains. The hotel has an in-house restaurant.

Hot water was there in the evening, but morning 7 AM did not get hot water. The service in the restaurant was lacking and was very slow.

The complimentary breakfast is not a buffet, but one has to order breakfast the night before. It is one item for one person. Taste is ok.

Overall, an above...

My sister and I stayed here for about a week and we loved every second of it. The rooms had a great view and most importantly were heated and clean. They had clean white sheets and also had hot running water. The staff were very very helpful. They were always trying to help and also arranged a jeep for us back to pokhara. The best thing however was the food. The hotel had better food than most places we ate in Kathmandu. I loved the Indian food(specially the panner butter masala) and my sister LOVED the mexican food. We are so thankful to the staff for keeping us so well and I absolutely cannot recommend this place enough!!
