My stay at Hotel De Purang in Muktinath was absolutely wonderful — one of the highlights of my trip! From the moment I arrived, I felt I had chosen the perfect place to rest, rejuvenate, and take in the beauty of Mustang. Location & Atmosphere: Nestled in a serene spot in Ranipauwa, Hotel De Purang is ideally located — close enough to the Muktinath temple for convenience, yet far enough to escape the rush and enjoy calm surroundings. The views of the Himalayas from the hotel—especially at dawn and dusk—are simply breathtaking. The crisp mountain air and peaceful atmosphere truly made me feel like I was in a place of rest and reflection. Rooms & Comfort: The room I stayed in was clean, warm, and beautifully maintained. The bed was comfortable, and the room was equipped with everything I needed to unwind after a long day trekking — hot water, decent lighting, and cozy bedding. Warm blankets and a friendly décor added to the feeling of being well cared for in such remote terrain. Dining Experience: The in‑house restaurant was a delight. They served both authentic Nepali dishes and some more familiar foods, all made with good ingredients and with care. The dal bhat was hearty and perfect for trekking‑exhausted appetites. The staff were helpful in suggesting what to try and accommodating special requests, which I appreciated. Service & Hospitality: What truly sets Hotel De Purang apart is the staff. They were warm, attentive and genuinely kind. Whether arranging transportation, helping with gear, or simply offering a friendly smile or warm tea, their hospitality made me feel welcome every moment. Small touches — maybe extra blankets, clean towels, prompt service — made a big difference. Value for Money: Given its location, comfort, and the quality of service, I feel Hotel De Purang offers excellent value. It doesn’t feel overbearing in cost, yet you get so much: comfort, warmth, good food, great views, and genuine hospitality. For anyone visiting Muktinath — either for pilgrimage or trekking — this hotel is a...

Read moreStayed for one night while visiting Muktinath Temple. Great location. Rooms are cozy, clean, and with a great view. The soft bed was a letdown. Could not get a good sound sleep. The heater worked well.
There is no lift in the four floor hotel. 3rd floor has a patio from where you can experience the great vista of the dhaulagiri range of mountains. The hotel has an in-house restaurant.
Hot water was there in the evening, but morning 7 AM did not get hot water. The service in the restaurant was lacking and was very slow.
The complimentary breakfast is not a buffet, but one has to order breakfast the night before. It is one item for one person. Taste is ok.
Overall, an above...
