Panorama Inn Mustang Nepal — Hotel in Barhagaun Muktikhsetra

I do not like to leave negative reviews, but unfortunately I had a really bad experience here. The owner of the property was away overseas and an incredibly rude and aggressive young man was left running the place who barely spoke any English.

I had booked my room online at a slightly discounted rate as I'd booked them a couple of days before arriving. Straight away the young man running the place barks at me "you understand these rooms are $55 a night?" No "hello" or "welcome" or anything like that. I was treated and spoken to like dirt. Just because I'm a backpacker, doesn't mean I can't afford a $55 room - that would be a bargain in England where I'm from. But I had booked online at a discounted rate, so I argued this.

Eventually the young man called his boss who was apologetic but not very helpful. As my treatment on arrival was so aggressive and rude, I felt there was no way I could stay here. Perhaps if the owner is home running the place it may be much better. The location is well outside of Muktinath, the building name is not marked to advertise what it is, but the internal decor is beautiful and artistically considered.

I would definitely advise doing your homework and contact the place before coming here. Double check the owner is there. I don't wish to speak badly of the owner or the hotel, but the idiot that was left in charge gave such an aggressively negative impression, it left me upset and angry for the rest of the day.
