I was planning to stay 2 nights at this hotel, until the hairdryer exploded in my face today whilst I was drying my hair. Left a black soot mark on my hand which I have attached a photo. ( don't have better photo as I ran into toilet in shock and tried to put my forearm in cold water in case I was burnt). Boyfriend snapped photo as I was washing off soot to show the owner. ||When I complained and asked for a waiver for stay for the 2nd night, he tried to blame me for this by saying this hotel do not provide hair dryers in the first place and that he was doing me a favour providing me a hair dryer. |He tried to blame me for destroying his hair dryer. His reasoning was that when he passed me the hair dryer on the 1st night it was working and that the hair dryer exploded because I misused it on the 2nd night. He then tried to charge me 7000 Nepalese ruppees for damaging his hair dryer. ||I was really upset that he was not even the slightest concerned that I could have been scarred permanently on my face from the "explosion" of the hairdryer.||If you still want to stay here and support bad behaviour and give business to people with such values...go ahead... But I hope you wouldn't unless they change their values.. If not, such behaviour...

Review for OMS House, Jomsom • Location: Excellent, with easy access to key spots in Jomsom. • Price: Expensive for the level of service provided. Not worth the cost. • Vibe: Great ambiance, cozy and comfortable. • Rooms & Cleanliness: Decent, but nothing special for the price. Could be better maintained. • Hospitality: Extremely poor. • Manager/receptionist Krishna Subedi was rude and unaccommodating. • No sense of hospitality or customer service. • Instead of making guests feel welcome, they seemed more concerned about enforcing unnecessary rules. • Continuously called and pressured us to return early to the hotel while we were out for dinner, which was completely unnecessary and ruined the experience. • No flexibility or effort to make guests comfortable. • Overall: The only good thing is the location and vibe. Service and hospitality are a complete letdown. Definitely not worth the price unless management improves significantly....

Fantastic food, big rooms, lovely hot showers, cosy fireplace to keep you warm. Om’s house arranged the best Guide for us called Tal. Big shout out to the most politest, caring, devoted Guide. He saved my husbands life and our friends life in precarious situations. Wise in how he navigates the journey. He has been a guide since the age of 14 yrs old and has a wealth of local knowledge, speaks good English, and easily builds rapport. He is abundant with informative around history and spiritual traditions, and attentive to every persons needs in the group. If you are sick - he has a natural remedy. If you need translation- he’s your man. Very grateful to Triple for accommodating all our needs.

Stayed at Om's Home for few days, while I was in Jomsom for work. This place is walkable from the airport. It's a big space, with lot of rooms. I stayed in room 111, which was very small to accommodate to couple of 150 pounders. Other rooms looked big, as compared to ours. Heard legendary stories, when Amitabh Bachchan & Danny Denzongpa stayed here for shoot of Khuda Gawah ages ago. They have a nice chimney in the middle to warm up the common sitting area. When I was there, they had put paintings of local people on sale...Which is a nice way to promote local talent. Definitely recommended. Clean place.
