We had the worst customer service experience at Grand Norling Resort which was really disappointing. Me and my partner first chose this resort for our wedding ceremony as this place was really special to us as this was our first dating spot and we used to come to Norling a lot with family and friends. I sent one of my brothers for information for wedding venue for 150 guests a month ahead of ceremony and after getting information about pricing and all, we had a whatsapp conversation with the event manager. Our wedding ceremony was for 16th of June for 150 guests and I called the person to confirm the venue as we wanted an intimate wedding ceremony. So the conversation goes like this Me and partner: We had sent Kalden dai few weeks back to get information about the wedding venue and we would like to book the venue for 16th of June. The person: Ko sanga kurne ho? Timiharu sanga kura garne ki kalden sanga?(rude) Me and my partner: Hami sangai kura garne ho The person: Kaha bihe garne socheko cha? Me and my partner: Hamile garden ma bihe garne ho with standard menu The person: Tapaiharule tapai haruko kura vannu vayo. Aba ma vanchu tapaiharu sunnus( With rudeness). Tapaiharule bihe garne season vaneko paani parne season ho. Mero 25 years ko experience ma chai tyo din 100% paani parcha aja specially mulpani ra sundarijal ma. Paani paryo vane tapai haru k garnu huncha? ( Being an event manager, rather giving options, he is asking what we will do) Me and my partner: Aba paani paryo vane, hamro badluck. Tapaiharule chai paani paryo vane k suggest garnu huncha The person: Tapaiharulai euta mandap banaidinchu, tesma paal lagai dinchu, mandap ko cheu chau ma 2-4 ota guests lai seat rakhdinchu hernu ko pagi ani baaki sabai jana vitra bascha. ( The person didn’t even care, hamile bihe garne ko culture ma mandap huncha ki hudaina as buddhist don’t make mandap). The person: Tapaile choose garnu vaako menu ramro chaina, 200-300 rs thapyo vane ramro menu huncha, sabaile tehi choose garcha ( We were wondering if that’s not a good menu, then why did you guys even kept it on that menu????) Me and partner: Malai euta question sodnu man thyo, aru harule ceremony ma rakshi rakcha ki rakdaina? The person: Tapaiharuko Australia ma bihe kasari huncha malai thaa chaina, yaha aile kosaiko bihe ceremony ma rakshi rakdaina (We never boasted about where we live and come from). Tapai haru aile confirm garne nosochnus kurai nabuji, ma online nai hunchu for an hour. Sochnus ani confirm garne vaye 1 lakh deposit dinu parcha. We were really shocked how we were treated. May be out 150 guests was not an attraction for Norling but the person should understand the customer’s want and desire. The person was not interested at all about what we want. After having the conversation, I cried a lot because, we couldn’t choose the venue we want and was 100% convinced that I can’t choose this venue at all. We thanked the manager for his time and inform him that we won’t bother now. Though, the venue’s food is not what Boudha ko family would like but still, we wanted our family and relatives to change their perspective. Read moreThe Grand Norling Hotel's Resort; a symphony of nature, warm hospitality, excellent guest service, and delicious cuisines. In order to explain how Norling made our wedding so memorable, I must go back in the past. So bear with me.
My wife and I were in search of a venue that has nature as its main element. We searched and stumbled upon a few of them, including Norling. Looking at the photos, we were convinced that 3 of those venues had what we needed, Norling being one of them. We wanted to do an intimate wedding with our nearest and dearest in attendance, and many of those venues were extremely rude and unapproachable because the total number of guests was just above 100. Not just that those venues didn't wanna host us, but they were very unwelcoming, and I'm taking about a few 5 star hotels in Kathmandu. I think over time, they lost the sense of hospitality. Anyways! We went through all of them one by one and read their reviews, but to our surprise, Norling had some negative reviews. We set up a meeting with all 3 venues and finally came to a decision that Norling was the best choice for us. We loved the place from our first visit.The garden, the bamboos, the trees, and a cute fountain, Norling, has a perfect natural landscape. But what stood out the most for us was the attitude at Norling.
We got in touch with Mr. Sunil Kapali at Norling. What a gentleman he is 🫡. A perfect man for the job. Kudos to Norling for employing such a man in such a position 👏. From the get-go, he was very welcoming and approachable. He listened to us patiently and understood our requirements. We explained to him that our total number of attendees is less, but we are planning a quality event. He was convinced with our plan and also provided some of his useful inputs. Slowly, things started to come live on paper. During the meeting, I highlighted that we were concerned about some negative reviews, and our requirement is quality, and we are willing to pay for it. He assured us that it wasn't necessary and invited us for a food tasting the following day. We loved the food, and afterwards, we left the things to his good judgment.
Fast forward to the wedding day, and what a wonderful time we all had. Each of our guests (some foreigners) loved the venue, the snacks, the food, the setup, but most of all, the hospitality at Norling. Each and every staff members were very accommodating with smiles on their faces.They went above and beyond to make our day a little extra special.
In conclusion, Norling is a blend of outstanding service and best of cuisine, surrounded by nature. It is a perfect place to host an event or just to have a chill out day.

He said i will talk and was trying to call someone so we left to washroom area and then after 5/10 min while we were doing shoot the Guard Dai came and ask shoot ko lagi ho and we said yes and he said free ma garna mildaina paisa lagsa and we said we already asked there and we are not Doing in free we are paying vanera. Then he left again after 2/3 min they said to stop the Shoot and we asked why they gave us reason aja event haru cha mildaina vanera and we asked hamile first ma kura garda hunsa vannu vako thyo aba we started pani aile ayera kina dukha di rakkeo kaile paisa vaneko kaile event i said. And then i went to that So called Manager i literally called him for 3/4 times but he just looked at me and just was just trying to ignore me like na dekeko jasatai so i went najikai i adked him kina yesto vanera, he said ma yako Manager ho i wont allow i said we were here 3/4 times paila pani for shoot and aja chai why like this vanera,at the end he said yeteikai ayera washroom gayera photo kichna mildaina vanera and i said i took permission reception ma so that i am here ho said paisa tirnu vayo i said yes i will once i finish my work,kam sakera kati time hunsa ani teti amot pay garne ho vanera vaney. Entire time he was behaving so roud way ma.Manager vayera 1 tah communication skill na vako ra simple kura private kura le garda professional kam ma tesari reaction dina is not Good rather than that i have been there for 7/8 times beside work everything is fine.They really need to work on That Stupid Manager❌❌ i also Heard that so many complaints have came of that Person but no thing has been done yet,if it goes like this you guys will definitely loose your Name slowly.
