I have been to Gokyo almost 10 times and I tried at least 3 hotels and had meals at more than 5 restaurants here. But ever since I discovered this lodge, I have never changed!||||It might look ordinary compare to other fancy lodges, but the facility, food, accommodation is competitive with others. Most important, hospitality and honesty is something that keeps me there.||||The facility,||Their have the most comfortable and thick blanket I had in Khumbu. The room was not big, but you got everything you need in that harch condition. Most important, the rooms are clean. The sitting toilets are shared, but clean as always. The owners are trying to upgrading time to time.||||The restaurant,||The price is the fairest in Gokyo(Trust me)! The portions are generous and taste great. I especially recommend tomato cheese macaroni, fried rice and toast with fried egg! but You wont't disappoint even if you order other items! Owners never hesitate to keep us warm, the kitchen was always heated with fire!||||The hospitality,||Owners are a lovely family with a young couple and a cute kid. They are simple, honest, helpful and friendly! Not only one time, I had people in my group got sick, they try their best to support us. They see customers as guests and their own people and take care of us, which is the reason I keep visiting...
Read moreCozy small local owned lodge with very attentive and friendly owners!! Most other lodges in Gokyo are bigger and more anonymous, probably company owned. Aprox 8 double rooms at the boarder of 3rd Gokyo Lake, amazing view on the lake and surrounding mountains. When sunny, the rooms and toilet heat up and become nicely warm and cozy, which is a relief when sleeping w under 0° during night time. 4 Yaks belong to the owners and might eventually come and request food :) Boiled water always available, and possibility to wash yourself or clothes in a separate room than the toilet (no shower, but hot water served in containers/buckets). 5 Stars or more for this lodge! We stayed 3 nights and I would recommend this lodge strongly to any individual Trekker, seeking friendly and...
Read moreThis lodge features an amazing lake view. It is a 2-person operation which keeps Chheten and Mingma quite busy, but everything is kept in order and there is still time for chatting with the guests in the evening and throughout the day.||We booked in advance over email and whatsapp (confirmation might take about a day). The hosts recognized us as we approached the lodge and were very welcoming.||We stayed in Gokyo for two nights. Before we departed, we got trekking advice and some snickers bars on the house which came in very handy later at the Cho La pass.||Chheten also texted to know if we got through the pass all right. Appreciate...
