Hotel Kasai is located in its own compound very near the World Peace Pagoda. It seems that some sections of the hotel are better looked after than others. The smarter section is very nice and well kept. The rooms are large with nice clean futons and linen. The air conditioning is good as is the WiFi. The bathrooms are very comfortable and designed probably with a large Japanese clientele in mind.||The main accommodation building is surrounded by a large garden with a designated walking path for patrons who would rather not go out for their regular walks. There is a remarkably nice swimming pool. However, the surrounds are rather stark and bland. This area could be improved to make it more attractive. There is also a kitchen garden growing vegetables and herbs. Apparently, the produce from this garden is used in the kitchen, especially in preparing the salads, adding a nice touch to the restaurant. is pretty ordinary but the staff are friendly and sincere. Breakfast is more than adequate. If you need any extra items or have a special need do not hesitate to ask the staff. They are more than happy to oblige if within their capability.||Overall, Kasai is more than adequate for a short stay while at Lumbini and most visitors would fall in that category. However, for some reason, it does not provide that home away from home feeling. Perhaps with the completion of the work in progress at the moment it will overcome that...
Read moreThis Japanese-run hotel is immaculately clean - the cleanest hotel we stayed at in Nepal. It does not have luxury services, but we were told by a good local travel agent that it is the best hotel in Lumbini. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. All aspects of the room, including the bedding was immaculate, and the air conditioning worked perfectly (not something you can assume in this part of the world). The bathroom was of the Japanese style, with a wet room and a dry room, very clean and convenient. The restaurant was surprisingly good, with Nepali, Indian, Japanese, and western options, and out hostess/server was incredibly friendly and helpful. There is a nice pool, although we didn't really check it out, as like most, we were there to see the Buddha's birthplace and associated temples, not to sit by the pool.||||This is really a lovely hotel, and after staying at a number of 5 star establishments across Nepal that were not nearly as clean, we really loved this place. We will absolutely stay there again if we...
Read moreWe stayed at Lumbini Hotel Kadai as a family, and I can confidently say it is the best 3-star hotel in Lumbini. The management and staff are exceptionally professional, welcoming, and attentive, always making sure every detail is taken care of.
The rooms are modern, spacious and spotless, with an impeccable level of cleanliness. A special highlight is the Japanese smart toilet, which adds a level of comfort rarely found in this category. The swimming pool is also very clean and beautifully maintained, perfect to relax after visiting the sacred sites around Lumbini.
The restaurant is truly outstanding: both the Nepalese dishes and the Japanese cuisine are flavorful, authentic, and prepared with great skill. You can really taste the quality and care in every plate.
If you are traveling as a couple, with friends, or as a family, and you want a place that is comfortable, calm, clean and well-managed, with excellent food, I highly recommend Lumbini Hotel Kadai. It made our stay in Lumbini memorable, and we would...
