Great potential but still a long way to go to be competing with some of the best.

There was a warm welcome by the staff on arrival, the resort and facilities were explained to us and we were advised our breakfast and dinner was included with our room plan. I enquired about the dinner and we were shown a menu with a range of choice, so we were comfortable with the options available for dinner. It was disappointing to hear that there is no pool, no sauna, no steam room and no whirlpool available, especially as it’s a spa resort.

We checked in and headed for a coffee which was very nice - we sat on the terrace of the coffee lounge enjoying the sunshine & albeit cloudy views, after we headed for lunch. We were slightly disheartened to learn the lunch menu was the same as the dinner menu (which we saw at check in), and we again enquired about the dinner. We were advised that the dinner menu is a 3 course menu and you will have a choice from the starters, mains and desserts, so with that we made our lunch choices keeping in mind what we all wanted for dinner. The chef came out to greet the table next to us however didn’t even glance our way, let alone stop to say hello.

Dinner was a collection of errors, upon finally seeing the [correct] dinner menu, we realised this was an entirely different menu to the two we had been shown earlier in the day. We had the option of 2 soups for starters, a selection of mains (with only 3 meat dishes, 2 of which we ate at lunch) & 2 desserts. We asked the staff if we could swap dishes with the a la carte at a surplus, and we were advised we couldn’t. Eventually after requesting to speak to the GM, they were able to swap some of the dishes and we were able to enjoy the meal (again kudos to the kitchen as all the food was great). Also we had to wait nearly an hour for our wine to be told that they didn’t have the wine we wanted (they didn’t have more than half of the wines on the wine list). They brought out a bottle of wine which wasn’t on the list and I asked about the price, to be told it was the same price as the wine we originally wanted. When the bill finally came, the waiter came over to tell us that the price of the wine was a lot higher than originally mentioned, again they agreed to charge us at the lower price.

Breakfast left a few question marks too as we were advised on check in that breakfast finishes at 10am, however on the morning we were told it finishes at 9:30am, so we rushed to breakfast, only to find some guests coming in after 10am and still being served breakfast. Again the food was really nice and the fruit was very fresh and delicious.

The resort has very little to do unless you partake in the yoga or meditation sessions (which I think are at a cost). There are some beautiful walks around and you can catch great views of the mountains, the sunset and sunrise (if there are no clouds).

The resort isn’t very accessibility friendly with the rooms, restaurants and coffee lounge being on different levels with only stair access.

The rooms are very large and comfortable with a big, comfy bed and a large bath tub (although one of our bathtubs was out of order and the other one took a long while to fill). They would also benefit from having electric blankets for the beds and maybe more heaters as it can get quite cold. They’d also benefit from having a hose for the bathtub so you can rinse around the tub after bathing, our tub was quite dirty the first time we ran the water and was slow to drain, so the bath experience wasn’t the best.

The majority of the staff are very friendly and willing to help, however there are a lot of staff that perhaps require more training in hospitality management. The GM was really attentive and eager to help.

All in all I feel it isn’t great value for money - it was an average experience, and I’m not too sure I’d be rushing back in a hurry unless they did a lot more to improve the...

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Kavya Hotel during my trip to Nepal, and I must say it was an absolute delight! From the moment I stepped foot in the hotel, I was greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality.

The staff at Kavya Hotel went above and beyond to make my stay memorable. They were attentive, accommodating, and always willing to assist with any request I had. Whether it was arranging sightseeing tours or recommending local restaurants, their knowledge and willingness to help truly enhanced my overall experience.

The hotel's location is another highlight. Nestled amidst the stunning natural beauty of Nepal, the views from my room were breathtaking. Waking up to the sight of majestic mountains each morning was an unforgettable experience that brought me so much peace and tranquility.

During my stay at the Kavya Hotel in Nepal, I had the pleasure of crossing paths with an exceptional staff member named Shiva. From the very beginning, Shiva’s warm and friendly demeanor immediately made me feel welcomed and valued as a guest.

Shiva’s genuine kindness and attentiveness were truly remarkable. Always wearing a bright smile, he took the time to ensure that every aspect of my stay was perfect. Whether it was providing helpful tips about the local attractions, arranging transportation, or simply engaging in pleasant conversations, Shiva went above and beyond to make sure I had an unforgettable experience.

Shiva’s dedication to his role at the Kavya Hotel was evident in the way he effortlessly juggled multiple responsibilities while still making time to make every guest feel valued. His passion for hospitality shone through in every interaction, and it was clear that he genuinely cared about making each guest’s stay memorable.

His knowledge of the local culture and traditions was impressive, and I appreciated the insights he shared with me, enriching my understanding of Nepal during my stay.

To sum it up, Shiva is a true asset to the Kavya Hotel. His kindness, helpfulness, and warm personality added an extra layer of magic to my visit. I am immensely grateful for his exceptional service and for making my stay at Kavya Hotel truly unforgettable.

If you have the pleasure of staying at the Kavya Hotel, be sure to look out for Shiva, as his dedication and kindness will undoubtedly leave a lasting impression...

I recently had the privilege of staying at Hotel Kavya, and it was truly an experience that transcended the ordinary. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm hospitality that felt both personal and profound, setting the tone for a stay that brought not only physical comfort but also mental clarity and spiritual rejuvenation.

The staff at Hotel Kavya go above and beyond to create a peaceful environment, catering to both your tangible needs and the intangible aspects of your well-being. Their attention to detail reflects a deep understanding of the human spirit, making you feel not just like a guest, but like a cherished part of their community.

One of the most unique and transformative aspects of my stay was the spiritual guidance offered by the in-house guru. Their sessions seamlessly blended mindfulness, meditation, and personalized insights, offering a holistic approach to spiritual and mental well-being. The guru’s wisdom and compassionate approach created an atmosphere of trust and deep reflection, allowing me to connect with myself on a more profound level.

Adding to this, their approach to horoscopes and astrological guidance was astonishingly accurate. I was intrigued by how precisely their analysis resonated with my current life situation. The staff’s expertise in astrology, led by the guru, felt less like a service and more like a profound spiritual awakening. It provided clarity on several personal and professional dilemmas, leaving me feeling grounded and optimistic.

The serene ambiance of Hotel Kavya complements their offerings perfectly. Every corner of the property exudes tranquility, making it an ideal retreat for those seeking mental peace and a deeper understanding of themselves.

I highly recommend Hotel Kavya to anyone looking for more than just a stay—it’s an experience of transformation, healing, and alignment. Whether you seek relaxation, guidance, or simply a moment of peace, this haven delivers it all with grace and authenticity. I can’t wait to...

A Tranquil Escape in Nagarkot 🌿 A place where nature truly speaks to you. We had a reservation for the day and were warmly welcomed by the hotel staff upon arrival. Do note — entry is strictly limited to in-house guests and not open for daycation or casual visits. Nestled within a beautifully preserved forest, the resort exudes serenity and offers a rare connection to nature. The architecture is a harmonious blend of Eastern and Western influences, creating an aesthetic that’s both luxurious and grounding. The Wellness Village is thoughtfully designed, and my personal highlight was the Sound Healing Room — an incredibly calming space. Communication throughout our stay was seamless, thanks to a dedicated WhatsApp number that connected us to everything — from housekeeping to food orders. A buggy service made navigating the vast estate effortless. The hospitality here is exceptional. The butlers are multi-talented, courteous, and always ready to help. We enjoyed several complimentary experiences included in our package, such as Pottery, Sunset Walk, Cycling and Yoga — each adding to the overall tranquility of the stay. We especially appreciated the yoga session led by the knowledgeable Yoga Guru, where we learned various mudras and their significance — a truly enriching experience. Although the swimming pool and gym were still under construction during our visit, the peaceful ambiance and impeccable service more than made up for it. The food menu is selective but each dish was fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared. From the front desk to the restaurant team and butlers, everyone was warm and attentive. Special thanks to Mr. Sudesh (General Manager) and Dr. Ravi (Wellness Director) for their personal touches that made our stay feel even more special. This isn’t just a place to stay — it’s a sanctuary to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and immerse in the healing presence of nature.

I recently stayed at Kavya resort over Valentine's Day and it was absolutely amazing! I have nothing but great things to say about my experience, from the incredible yoga guru and massage session to the guided hiking with a surprise picnic and breathtaking Himalayan views. One of the standout experiences was the sunset hike, which offered stunning views and a peaceful ambiance. It was the perfect way to end the day and relax after a day of exploring. Additionally, the bike tour of the nearby attractions was so much fun and allowed me to see and learn more about the local culture. I also loved experiencing the local village culture during my stay. The staff was so friendly and welcoming, and it was clear that they truly care about their guests. The attention to detail and personalized service was evident in everything they did, from the food to the activities. Overall, I can't recommend this resort enough. It truly exceeded my expectations in every way, and I left feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and inspired. If you're looking for a peaceful and relaxing retreat that offers great outdoor activities, amazing views, and a taste of local culture, this is the place for you!
