Read moreI loved my stay at Indralok. The hotel is modern, clean and has a lovely view of the mountains and lake. The owners and staff were exceptional. We had a movie each evening which was fun! The meals were excellent. I felt spoiled by Madhu who insisted on carrying a chair and numerous beverages up to my balcony so I could enjoy the antics of the monkeys frolicking in the trees outside each day. I also had a special cappuccino at the coffee shop along the brick path before the hotel restaurant opened each morning. The owner there is also an avid birdwatcher and is happy to lend you his expertise, binoculars and bird books at his scenic overlook with tables and chairs. And, the taxi driver who lives next door to the coffee shop kindly carried my heavy suitcase down past a road block in the early morning to ensure I caught the bus I had arranged to Kathmandu from Talchowk. He even offered to wait in his taxi with my belongings watching for the bus while I had a coffee in the shop across from the bus stop. I can't imagine a more comfortable stay or any more hospitable people than I met...
