For an affordable option, I found this hotel to be very very good. I plan to return and bring my team of volunteers who are coming to do a free dental clinic in the mountains between here and Kathmandu. The whole staff was very accommodating, and I really enjoyed my room! I was overlooking the pool, and discovered that each patio has a ceiling fan. It was a peaceful place for me. I was there for two full days. The bathroom was really nice! As a dental hygienist, I was really tickled to find two toothbrushes in the bathroom!! I found the bed comfortable, and although the pillow wasn’t the best, I had brought my own, so it didn’t matter. The food was really good at the restaurant. I bought the package, so I did the canoe ride, the hike into the jungle (wear walking shoes, not sandals, like I did) where you will see a vast lake of lilies!, the baby elephant center, and the elephant ride in the afternoon. I also did the sunset excursion the night before. Sandeep is an excellent guide and picked out 🐊 crocodiles left and right—where I would never have noticed them! He knows he birds, too! I will bring a better camera lens next time. He’s a real asset to the Hotel. *Give the man a raise to keep him on. ;-) After dinner that evening, I went to the cultural Center. The cultural center doesn’t give you much information. They do a lot of cultural dancing with drums that are very loud because they use these metal finger extensions. There is a wooden box that they bring out after in which you can put donations./tips. At least half of them dance their hearts out! It’s very colorful, and I found it interesting. I was, however, expecting to learn more about the local culture. And I’m told the best place to get any souvenirs is in Kathmandu, if you are wanting those. And it’s even better if you have a local go with you so that they can make sure you’re not Price gouged. While on the elephant Safari, I got to see a mother and baby rhino in the wild. TOTALLY COOL!!!! March and April is when they burn the under grasses in the forest all over the country. So the air quality is very poor. I’m told November is a better month. That’s when I plan to return. However, I am also told that the grass is much higher, and it’s a lot harder to find rhinos at that time. But I bet Sandeep will see them! Lol I think you’ll be pleased with this selection should you come to do a vacation, a Safari or an event here. I will definitely be back!

We stayed here for 4 nights in April and we enjoyed it a lot, when we first arrived in Sauraha the hotels driver picked us up from our location and took us by car to the hotel. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. We had a buffet with lots of options of food even if you’re a vegetarian or like to eat meat. I would also highly recommend getting the chicken momo they are one of the best I’ve had in Nepal. They have a large swimming pool and what’s great is that it was never crowded. At around 7pm they also have a traditional Nepalese Tharu dance which was fun to watch. Our room was very nice and clean the bed was very comfortable and all the rooms come with an A.C which is good because it’s very hot in Nepal. There’s also lots to do, my favourite was the Jeep safari where we explored the jungle for a very good price and you can see the rhinos, tigers and elephants, I would definitely recommend getting the Jeep safari in the morning because it’s a lot more likely to see all the animals. There’s also elephant riding and canoeing which you can all book directly with the hotel. You can also rent a bicycle for a day and just ride around and explore Sauraha, nearby you can look at the river and at sunset it’s beautiful, there’s also lots of places to eat nearby and there’s a market for clothes and all sorts of other things. I loved our stay at Hotel Jungle Crown it’s a very nice luxurious hotel with lots to do nearby which had great value for what we were paying and I would definitely come again.

Perfect place for a vacation in Sauraha. Slightly away from the street and shops, very peaceful. The area they have is very impressive. They offer tharu cultural dance and BBQ in the evening. Food is good. The rooms are spacious and very clean. I love the design. It feels very luxurious at a reasonable price. Bed is comfortable. TV positioned perfectly. Bathroom well equipped and clean. They also have a minibar available with good selection of alcohol and snacks. Ample space for 2 with a sofa and coffee table. Breakfast buffet is delicious. I loved everything about this place. A bit far from the pubside, but this is what I wanted, a peaceful place near the jungle. If you want to visit the pubside I'm sure they will arrange pickup and drop off. And this place is near the elephant riding point. Will come back here again.
